Clean room, good breakfast
The hotel is not by the monastery as shown on the map but in the village. You have to walk or drive uphill over dirt roads to get there

Nice hosts, nice breakfast, very nice view from the terrace while having a breakfast. Clean air. Great value for money.
The village is small and there is nothing to do except visiting the monastery.

Everything was very good. The food is amazing. On breakfast we also tried homemade cake. Amazing. At night was cold, but owner provides us heating, so everything was comfortable. And at night just look out and take a look to the sky full of stars.

We had a wonderful stay at Saro's. The rooms are simple but they have everything you need to be comfy. But the best part of the stay is the host! Maro (Saro's sister) was kind and generous from the beginning. We arrived quite late with some friends and she took us all in and made a vegan supper for us. She was able to personalize the menu every morning. Everything we ate here was absolutely delicious. She also gave us a few recommendations for things to do in the area. We would highly recommend staying here. It's a family-run place and they make you feel like you are a part of the family!
The bathroom is not heated so it gets cold in the fall and winter. It's not a big issue but it's good to know. There is hot water however, it's just chilly when you go

An excellent and friendly family run hostel with a very good restaurant near the cable car which you should certainly eat at for some great food. Its a small way into Tatev and easy to find, a warm welcome waiting from very nice people. A local shop was very close by. The room was warm and cosy and decorated very nicely, i loved the Safari theme! The shower had plenty of hot water, the wifi was good and i enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the evening. The breakfast was served in the morning and was really good. I only stayed one night but i loved every minute of it and the wonderful family running it were a pleasure to meet.

Matmro & her mother were very helpful with advices and trip to Devil's Bridge, Wings of Tatev and Goris taxi booking. B&B provided fair comort for price and good cldanliness. We were served with traditional Armenian breakfast too. Highly recommended!

Very calm and quiet place. Very warm hosts. Clean facility. Breakfast was served at the terrace with a nice view and fresh fruit, eggs and legumes from the garden.

What I appreciated most was the superb internet connection!
According to the information on Booking the guesthouse is situated near the main road but that is the location of their restaurant. The guesthouse is in fact in the village and only reachable by quite steep dirt roads. For me, riding a heavy motorbike, this was an unexpected challenge. If I had known that before, I am not sure I would have booked Saro's guesthouse. One other point: the room was spacious enough but filled with a double bed, a single bed and a big chair. So not much space left. There was no wardrobe in the room, not even a hook to hang my clothes. Toilet and shower were downstairs.

This is quite an outstanding place overlook fabulous mountain scenery all around. Guest house in the middle of a small village and inside a big typical Armenian garden. Delicious dinner and breakfast provided daily....
