Beds were comfy, linens soft and fluffy, perfect pillows! Staff were wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was full of options and all delicious, cafe was lovely. The hotel is a vibe in itself, I would stay again and again!

The staff spoiled us rotten and treated us like royalty- from the front door to the breakfast daily and bar- they were amazing. The rooms were gorgeous. The beds were so good we could barely bring ourselves to get up in the morning. The sheets were like silk and I looked them up to buy- $1000 just for the sheets not counting duvet cover and shams. No wonder... Breakfast included very good French Champagne and our server Mladen was exceptional.
Nothing to not like here. It was perfect and no improvement can be suggested in any way.

A majestic setting. You are struck by the elegance and history from the moment that you enter. Our room, a Junior Suite with balcony, was wonderful.

Beautiful building, very comfortable bed and gorgeous room. Fresh flowers in the room. Free room upgrade

Loved the opulent decor and friendliness of the staff. The bottle of wine in our room and cards to welcome us to the hotel and wish us well on our honeymoon was very special. The bar staff were very accommodating with giving us ice water and wine glasses to use in our room. All staff were lovely and friendly and the reception staff took great photos of us.
The bath robes were not new and overwashed and not softened. But in the Grand scheme of a lovely stay this was a minor issue.

Impressive exteriors, obsolete interiors, what you pay is not what you get, the hotel needs a serious renovation. Location is good, but next time i will pick a 5 star hotel in the old town. Poor common areas, basic breakfast, unnecessarily formal bar.

The facilities and location are great! Staff also extremely nice! History is part of the experience too! Walking distance from all main attractions and breakfast is very good!
The afternoon tea was not available, even with booking, they argued at the bar that 24 hours reservation was required, when that was not disclosed anywhere! We got the feeling they did not want to do it!

Very good, excellent setting, service and food in Cafe Imperial, lovely room overlooking Karntner Strasse on second floor, fabulous lobby, bar and grand staircase. Staff all very obliging and friendly indeed.
Room, although grand and furnished in lavish style didn't quite meet our expectations - all a bit tired, trailing wires in places, chipped furniture paintwork and giant wardrobe with a distinct backwards lean!
