The breakfast was included in the price and there was a very good selection. Sometimes we had a champagne breakfast and sometimes we would ask the chef to cook us French toast. Whatever we had it was always superb! We had quite a few evening meals in the Hotel Imperial as the food there was exceptional. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the room was nice and quiet. The location was great too, just a short walk to the heart of Vienna City.
We liked everything regarding the Hotel. As for Vienna, we made the mistake of not purchasing a Vienna pass to see attractions further away. We found it wasn't so easy trying to find a taxi for return journeys.

All staff are friendly. They upgraded our room to a Sisi suite. The housekeeping lady is very friendly and very clean.
The food at the Imperial Cafe is just average.

The hotel location was good; it's not far from St Charles Church and the hotel is on the Ring Road so there is lots to see. Our classic king room was huge with a street view. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever experienced. I have a bad back and it was like sleeping on a cloud. The minibar was very well stocked. Service requests were promptly fulfilled. We ate on the outdoor restaurant terrace which was very pleasant. The food was okay.
First of all, I asked by email if I we could check in 1 hour early and I was told that I would have to pay one third I think it was of the daily rate. I was a bit surprised to say the least. In the end, it didn't matter as we arrived later. Secondly, it was unusually hot in September. I don't like air conditioning, but our room was too warm for comfort and the air conditioning did not work. I informed Reception and they asked me to check that all the windows were closed which I did. After that, someone came immediately to arrange the air conditioning, and then another person and then another. It took at least 1/2 hour and 3 people in our room to at last get it working. This attests to the quality of service but my question is: surely housekeeping must have noticed that the air conditioning wasn't working or did they open the windows and not close them properly? Thirdly, breakfast was included with our room and we were looking forward to it. However, breakfast only started at 7:30 AM which we considered late compared to other hotels. We thus did not have enough time to eat before leaving for the airport. We did not get breakfast, even 'though we had paid for it.

The only item I can say I would change, is that the bar lounge should be a first come first service, or at a minimum to notify new guess that reservation are need, so guest who are staying can use the hotel lounge !!

If there was an opportunity to rate the hotel with a rating higher than 10, Hotel Imperial would definitely get it. Apart from all the standard services that you get in a five-star hotel, which were brought to the highest level in this hotel, due to a sudden health problem that arose during the stay at the hotel, I would like to especially thank Mr. Sebastian Schoener, Andrija Rebac, Dejan and Miroslav - Miro for all assistance and help. All praises to the rest of the staff as well, we will definitely come again.
