Fair
Great location. 24 hr reception. Friendly staff
The rooms are tired and need renovation. The bathroom tiles/grout are stained and dirty-looking. Shower pressure was poor, and climbing into a bath to use the shower is unsafe.

It was just a shame that there wasn’t a view of the harbour from the spa, otherwise it was all amazing!

Good
Beautiful area, cannot beat the views and the location! Perfect base for exploring. Staff were great and breakfast was delicious and generous! Pool was not heated and a lot smaller than the photos but we still had a great time enjoying the sunshine and views and playing in the water! Lovely spot to watch the city lights at night too!
Beds were quite comfortable and black out curtains were great considering the sun comes up super early.
It's an old building with a lot of charm, and the potentiao to be incredible, but it needs some good elbow grease...
The rooms were dirty - the ceilings, the carpets, the skirting boards all covered in a thick layer of dust. The shower bath was dated which would totally have been fine if it wasn't for the dirt on the tiles and walls. The spa was out of order which didn't bother us too much, but we would have liked to have known before we came. I am not normally one to complain, but really hoping that the owners read this and give the place a bit more attention and deal with the damage from leaks too.
The staff were really lovely and evidently doing their best, so don't want them to get into trouble here, but I think the owners need to invest in a proper deep clean, implement a strict cleaning checklist, ensure there are very good cleaning products and a proper carpet cleaner, and do pre-book in inspections until things get back on track.
Stunning location but just lacks the level of care that such a beautiful old building deserves.r

The rooftop view!! We could also see the Harbour Bridge from our room window. The room was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed and the location made the price feel like a steal!! Perfect location for visiting Circular Quay, Manly by ferry and a 15-20 min walk to Darling Harbour
Shower curtain - but I wouldn't take away points for that, it's just a personal ick

Very good location by the Harbour Bridge and across from the Sydney Opera House. Would happily return.
The foyer is very big and a bit soulless.

Location is great. So central to bars, restaurants and historic annd tourist attractions.
Disappointed that the spa was empty and not working. The rooftop view is spectacular with both the Harbour Bridge and Opera House right in front, but it seems as the hotel could make this a great area to spend time, however, it felt unloved and unused. The hotel is old and shabby is some places.

The balcony window was incredible. Sunny, fresh air, city light. Perfect. The location is excellent.
The pool was too cold to swim in. The spa wasn't working either.
