All the rooms were spaced out so that you got complete privacy, attention to the decor was second to none. Gabriel & claudio were the perfect hosts could not do enough for us. The pool was also exceptional. We loved it so much decided to stay another 6 days. Breakfasts were delicious & a different variation every morning.

We were absolutely blown away by how beautiful this place was. Breakfast every morning was incredible it tasted amazing and there was such attention to detail. We loved being surrounded by nature but very close to the city. The wildlife was amazing - local monkeys and hummingbirds! It was so relaxing and the hosts are so welcoming. The bedroom was stunning and the pool was beautiful. Pure bliss!!

I have traveled often, and this was one of the best stays I have experienced. The space itself was exquisite, but the staff and service was unmatched. We asked for a few recommendations while we were there (food and shopping a little more "off the beaten path), and were so pleasantly surprised.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this place. I will warn travelers that you need to be able to climb a few flights of stairs, but that is how the view is able to be so spectacular.

Our stay with Claudio was nothing short of exceptional. As first-time visitors to Rio, we were delighted that we chose to avoid staying in Copacabana. Our host not only helped guide our choice of excursions but endowed us with his outstanding knowledge of Rio.
Our accommodation was spotless and extremely comfortable, a real home from home.
Apart from the amazing sights of Rio, the highlight of every day was breakfast, which is a culinary tour de force.
The location is great and the property superb.

The breakfast is outstanding. Food, service, environment, and view. The owners are really lovely also.
Lack of shower hot water. After a couple weeks of travelling around we wanted a really nice place to relax on our last night. One relaxing aspect to have a nice hot shower but I think the nozzle was broken and so only cold showers :(

Beautiful boutique b&b run by the loveliest hosts. Everything throughout this hotel has been done with keen attention to detail, making it feel really premium, and the breakfast is unreal! The best Ive had anywhere in the world. Pool area is lovely and the hosts are always on hand to help you plan your day and give you recommendations.

Casa Geranio is a truly exceptional boutique hotel and is a little paradise in the middle of Santa Teresa. The owners (Claudio & Gabriel) are incredible hosts who go out of their way to make sure all of your needs are catered for and to provide tips and recommendations of the best things to do in Rio.
The facilities were great and the breakfasts even better. We came here on a recommendation from friends and will be recommending to any of our friends or family who are planning to come to Rio.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, who had great recommendations for the area and Rio in general. The breakfast area has incredible views as does the pool and common areas. Will book again when back in Rio de Janeiro.

Very comfortable stay. Claudio and whole staff very responsive and accommodating to all our needs. Morning breakfast was delicious, fresh, and nutritious.
Drainage in bathroom sink was slow at times but really did not affect our stay negatively. Easy fix and just needs some drain cleaner

Beautiful and spotless facilities; outstanding breakfast; interior design was beautiful and sophisticated. Gabriel and Claudio were fantastic hosts and really made us feel at home and welcomed. The rest of the staff were also professional and caring.
