Location is super good, the staff is super helpful and nice, you get a free pass for a gym nearby, breakfast is super rich and with great fruits and po de queijo.
Facilities are a little bit old but everything worked well and felt clean.

They had a really good breakfast with multiple type of Brazilian savoury and sweet food. The location was also pretty great as it was 5 minutes walking distance from the Copacabana Beach
The shower was broken when I arrived, but the hotel fixed it the next day, although I had to remind them twice about it.

The location is amazing. The staff is very professional and helpful. They lend you Chairs, umbrellas and towels for free to go to beach, that was amazing. The sauna is very clean.
The breakfast doesn't have many options, however, the ones they have are tasty

I always stay on vilamar hotel , I like the size of the rooms and shower
And the breakfast its nice and fresh, Rose and Mirla was very kind
The manager Ceclia was very helpful and Marco from reception polite

the cleaning was great, the cleaners even picked up the dirty clothes from the floor and put them in a plastic bag for me. front staff friendly. they gave a delicious chocolate when you leave. overall thought it was a pleasant stay.
breakfast was fine but nothing special (I am picky though and wanted fresh fruit juice), I was surprised it was listed as fabulous on booking. it was actually exactly the same choices of food and drinks as Hotel Mar Palace, but their breakfast was listed as good? AC is really loud, but in winter the temperature is dreamy in Rio and I didn't need to use it.

Very nice and helpful staff, excellent location, availability of a proper gym, and a nice breakfast make this hotel a very good choice.
Most people probably won't think of this as a problem, but on shorter stays of a few days, I don't like to have housekeeping come in at all, and in this hotel, there is no way to let housekeeping know not to come into your room when you're away (there's no "Please, do not disturb" sign you can put outside). So I notified the staff at the reception that I do not wish to have housekeeping come in during my stay, and I heard them make the call to their housekeeping colleagues and tell them not to clean my room, but one day, it was cleaned nevertheless when I got back home. To do this, the housekeeping staff had to move my work laptop (which was on the floor by my bed only in sleep mode and thus technically accessible), get some of my clothes that were on the bed out of their way, and so on. I get that it was an accident, and for most people it is probably not an issue at all, but I didn't appreciate this breach of privacy, and the situation could have been avoided much more easily if the hotel just provided the "Do not disturb" signs like every other hotel does.

There was a lot of noise from the street and the hallway due to bad isolation.

The staff were really nice and the breakfast was great.
The pool was too small comparing to the pictures and the sauna is actually a Steam room. Also it is very difficult to park bigger cars.
