While staying in room 308 I was bitten by bedbugs over 80 to 100 times over the course of 3 nights I stayed there. I knew I was experiencing itching on day 2, but on day 3, the red marks started to show with extreme itching.
The property was perfect location for my needs and the staff was excellent and accommodating as long as u had google translate for Portuguese.
Breakfast was with a variety of food and very good.

The breakfast was poor with and eating area not cleaned as I expected. The location is very scarred it’s so clockwise to the favelas . And so danger. Especially during the night. I Truly don’t recommend this location for anyone

Friendly staff, big and clean room. Close to metro station and supermarkets. Nice quartier. Good buffet breakfast . Optimal position to visit everything.
Some noise from the street and on the corridor during the night but it was during the carnival period.

The breakfast was great and the stuff are friendly
The bed had very old, torn and stained sheets, the towels were dirty and the bathroom smelled of bleach... The air conditioning did not cool and the internet did not work

I like the Hotel, customer service, and staff. Everyone is very nice and helpful. They gave me some tips to move around.
Breakfast is good, and the hours that you can attend are from 6.00am to 10.00 am, plenty of time. It is also convenient if you book a tour early, as you have time to have breakfast.
I don't like the area where is located is not the best, but you can move from there by Uber. From there to Copacabana Beach cost R&24 on the afternoon, the price may differ from the time, morning usually are less expensive but night time ride rate increase,

Great breakfast service, helpful staff, great location near popular tourist attraction. Aircon worked throughout.

I was on a tight budget, so, for the price I paid was ok, was during carnival so nothing much more available. I'd stay again if Ibhad to.
Loved the breakfast
Location is not nice but didn't experience any ugly situation, I moved around subway, bus and Uber with no issues
Internet was not working
Room keys are an actual key, on arrival was given the key to an occupied room, worried me that should that happen again with nit an honest traveller, they could have taken things from the room

This is a sabby hotel, located in the center of Santa Teresa. We chose the hotel due to its proximity to Sambadrom. Thinking we would walk to the Sambadrom. Well we took a taxi.
If you want to go to the carnival, you can take a taxi and stay at Copa Cabana. If you want to be in the center of the carnival atmosphere and stay in a shabby hotel with an old noisy airconditioner pick Vila Rica.

It was close to many places such as bars, eateries and the Selaron stairs
The area isn’t the best. It was during Carnaval so I took that into account, the internet was broken for days while I was there, my toilet leaked. The best part was the shower and the free breakfast. No one comes to change your towels or sheets, it’s left in bags in the hall so you need to exchange it yourself. Reception staff are mostly friendly
