Wonderful
The room was available and they let us do an early check-in, at no extra cost. Excellent breakfast.
Balcony glass screen and door are not sound proof. The street noise was a bit annoying.

It was our second stay at this hotel and unfortunately was worse than year before :(the location is super and the hotel was lovely but I got this feeling there is a lot of customers coming and year by year it’s worse , the breakfast is like in fast food , a lot of things is missing , a lot of things is cold like scrambled eggs , very often even the hot water for making tea was not hot:( the cutlery is like in very cheap hotel :( the room is not in perfect condition a lot of things need to be fix , because of the humidity there is mold on furniture :(( the cleaning personel does only basic , the towels are not in perfect condition the same with the duvets .
Because of security you need to wear wristband:(( and the security staff is very rude about generally a lot of staff from my point of view does not sure what but they not even bother to say good morning , the only nice personel was at the reception , the pool was clean everyday very late so should be open from 8 am and it was clean at this time :( and I drunk worst caipirinha by the pool :( so disappointed not worth the money we paid such a pity I like the location and the hotel could be nice but needs room refreshing , better quality breakfast and very good training of staff

Amazing ocean view balconies in a well-run hotel. I appreciated the amenities like the gym and the proximity to nice beaches, a market and the heart of Barra (just a quick, inexpensive ride).
The food was wide in variety, though not super high quality (breakfast buffet).

The breakfast was excellent. One has many choices and the taste was also good.
I like the orange juice most in comparasion with the other juices.
The other meals were also good for us. Relaxed atmosphere.
We had some problems with the keys to enter the room and the lift.

The view from my room was so beautiful. There is a little spot across the street that has great service and the food was amazing. I absolutely loved the steam room, the Jacuzzi (indoor and outdoor), the pool everything. Room service was great and someone came in to make my bed everyday. Even though the staff didn't speak much English, everyone was so patient and they had whatsapp to help and google translate was helpful as well.
Only complaint I had was the battery to my room died and I had to keep going downstairs to have someone let me in. Also after showers the room did seem a little muggy.

Modern clean with a good size room
The pool was clean and well maintained
A couple more sun beds would have been good but always managed to get somewhere to sit
But it’s right across the street from a beautiful beach with free deck chairs
The breakfast can be very busy after 8:30
But you can go 6:30 - 8:30 Or 8:30 -10:30. Which was busy but we took the 6:30 - 8:30 and never a problem

Hotel was ok for a few days. I wouldn't go back to Barra da Tijuca for holidays.
Room was dated and not very clean.
Breakfast: quantity but not quality; long queue just to get an omelette.
Very slow service at restaurant.
Ridiculous policy of wearing a wrist-band at all times inside the hotel (it's not an all-inclusive).
