The view is great and the people are lovely. The whole neighborhood is also stunning.
A bit hard to reach the first couple of times. Maybe more dummy-proof signs could be good, but you can always ask the ppl :)

Well, the view over Rio is quite something and the people running the hostel were warm and friendly. The place is comfortable and a little off the beaten track. It's not difficult to find and I'd say that this place is perfect if you'd like some time to just relax and stay local. Unfortunately, I missed the breakfast because I went out early, but, with this included, it's great value for money.
The location can be a little difficult if you need to get into town.

An amazing experience - Im so pleased we chose to stay here. It is very close to Santa Teresa neighbourhood which has bars, restaurants and lovely cobbled streets. We found using Uber very easy and unlike other reviews we had none cancelled - they drop you at the start of the Favella and it is then a 5 minute walk to get to the accommodation. Lots of reviews mention the steep hills - you wont get fantastic views like this without hills! And the views make any hill worth it. Breakfast was fantastic - fruit, toast, yoghurt etc. Probably one of the best value for money places Ive ever stayed!
Constructive feedback - a bin in the room (other than bathroom) would have been helpful!

You need to understand that this accommodation is a bit far away. At times there will be airplanes crossing very close above the accommodation (more of an issue for double-rooms as shared rooms are located in basement).

it was such pleasant experience. the view from terrace is breathtaking! quiet and peaceful place. the hosts are nice and attentive. breakfast was beyond expectation. definitely will return and recommend. the view from terrace, Mel the cat and breakfast with view by itself already makes me thinking to return :)

Magnificent view over Rio de Janeiro. Friendly , helpful and peaceful community in the favela . Safe area.A wonderful cultural experience.
It's a very far way to walk before you reach the Hostel. Steep. The favela is situated on the foot of a mountain. The chairs on the balcony area of the room need repairs. Communication challenges with staff.
