Location is very close to beach and restaurants. View from rooftop amazing with view of Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf and Copacabana beach.
Poor wifi in room, rules are not flexible and customer service can be improved. I booked through booking.com but the staff made me pay upfront at check in saying that they did not get payment via the platform.

breakfast was great (many fruits and healthy choices) but expensive. the bed was big and very nice
I was robbed from my phone (while trying to get to work by Uber) by a guy on a bike at broad daylights right in front of the hotel entrance while 4 staff were also standing outside. Directly after this happened, nobody reacted or even tried to help me. Also in the lobby all staff (at least 6 persons) were just staring at me as if they were thinking "own fault". I asked them to call the police which they did. After that day I stayed there for 4 more days but literary no one ever asked me how I was doing which I find a bit rude and inhospitable.

Excellent location. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. The highlight was the breakfast. Plenty of it and a wide variety of food.

Lets be honest, you cant beat the location! Its few steps from the beach, near everything, one building from Copacabana Palace Hotel. The best area ever! The property is good, the people that work there are so lovely and friendly, they even upgraded my room where I had a corner view from the beach and the Christ and gave a welcome happy birthday desert It for my sister at the room, delicious, it was like a dream! Its simple but has every, is clean and the pool area is small with amazing view from the beach and Christ of Redeemer! Showstopper! So, is worth it!
