I would definitely stay here again. The views are beautiful. You can cook there. They have like a nook of books if ever you want to read.
I didnt like that there was no security measures placed. Any outsiders could come in in the middle of the night. There was a passcode security door at the main door but the passcode number is written just in front. Even after midnight, the passcode is there displayed for anyone to see and enter the premises. :(

The price point was good for me as I only needed to crash for the night.
I was also offered a room to myself on check-in since I was the last person to check in, rather than the female only shared dorm i had initially booked, so that was a nice perk.
The beds were quite small (and as someone who's only 5'4", that's saying a lot) and the plastic-y mattress was quite noisy to sleep on.

Staff was friendly, and the hostel had plenty of amenities.
The place is in dire need of an upgrade. Besides poor signage, the building shows signs of age. Water in the showers is tricky to adjust due to old fixtures; there is a lack of individual lighting and power outlets by each bunk.

Beautiful scenery from the patio looking at the larch trees and I could see the train travelling through the woods from the far. Complete kitchenware. Easy to prepare meal from the kitchen. Quiet environment at night.
only a single washroom on the level of the bedroom. It would be good if there is more than one washroom.

Rules were not being followed. Parking for a long time in from (loading zone). And Pot smoking at no smoking facility. No system of check/ consequence in place. Bedroom floor shower was not working in one of the bathrooms.

I loved this hostel, I'd dare to say it was the best one I've ever stayed in. We were traveling with a group of 4, so we had a room for ourselves. The kitchen is fully equipped, and it's quite big. There's plenty of space to chill or work, either outside or inside. There are books, board games, billiards, some musical instruments, so you won't get bored. You can also wash (est. $2) clothes and dry (free) them if you need. The hostel is set in a wooden house, and it also adds a lot to its vibe :).
Getting there: be prepared for a gravel road, but they offer parking! The room for 4 was quite small, and there were no lockers inside, only downstairs.

Poor
Some guests are noisy and drinking till 1am. The rule is 10pm avoid being noisy. I did not have a good sleep at all. I will not recommend this hostel.

A beautiful view. A great kitchen. A pretty convenient location. A good value for last minute travel plans.
There are a lot of beds in the room. It would help to organize guests by when they arrive and depart. I got in late-ish (19:30) and several others were in bed and the lights were out. It hard to open a backpack and make bed silently in the dark. Im sure I disturbed the sleepers. Another couple arrived an hour later than me and had the same problem.
The early sleepers had either an early flight or early hike because they were up at 04:00 and making the same disturbance we were the night before. No had a long sleep option.

Great view and very friendly staff. Public areas were clean.
The room was equipped very poorly. I would have loved curtains for some privacy, a reading light and a plug-in for every bed. $75 per night for a shared room, that's lacking these things is a little overpriced in my opinion.

Bed is not comfortable, upper bund is not safe and no light nor charging socket
