We did not like much at all- we only stayed in canmore because banff is so expensive, we figured it is still close to banff etc and thanks to mother nature is a beautiful place, mountains etc. as others have said the construction, road works is everywhere its a badly designed town where access is difficult and confusing for tourists. The idea of these privately owned apartments being for rent does not work, the building itself both the paradise and grand rockies are VERY VERY OLD , smelly stained carpets and walls, its depressing, you really wonder where you have booked such is the shock. Reception staff are pleasant and try but what can they do, the place does not work, the car park has to be seen to be believed its so small and dark and cramped full of over sized cars and full rubbish bins this is not how a tourist wants to remember canada.
we booked a mountain view but if the truth is to be told there really are no views from this place as on one side you have the 24 hour hell of the main canadian highway which is NEVER quiet and empty so as soon as you open the doors and windows you have to yell at each other, its hell on the other side you have the ugliest driveway garage entry another building and street, so no views of quality maybe in the distance. on paper the apartments have what they say a balcony filthy cannot be used, smelly bbq with caked on remains of food from other guest, a kitchen with broken cupboards , a lounge so dirty we put a sheet on it, items missing from the kitchen, no one cares. The fire alarms are so sensitive that even making toast they go off every time, we had to make toast in the bathroom to avoid this, the whole place is a joke. The washing machine and dryer worked , thats a positive for you. the dining chairs were filthy we had to cover these to use, the tv system has multiple remotes nothing is EASY everything is hard. The security on the apartment is good.
In beautiful canada this was our worst choice and it made us really sad we tried to overlook this expensive mistake by spending the days in beautiful banff and longview and the kootenays etc , all we can say is pay more for banff or look elsewhere in canmore with real cleanliness, facilities and views
