Wonderful
I was very pleased with the service; the staff were attentive and helpful, which made my stay comfortable. The overall experience was good, and I appreciated the hospitality.
While the service was excellent, the hotel itself is showing its age. Some of the facilities seem outdated, and a modernization could really enhance the overall experience.

Wonderful
The location is the best for us(we only stay for one night and we are flying the second day), from Beijing train station to the hotel, it's only 15 mins walk(with big/heavy luggages), no stairs to climb, very easy to walk. The second day it's only 2 to 3 mins walk to subway station, then from there we can connect to airport express in one hour, I can't ask for more. The room is big and comfortable. In the night it's quite quiet even we are facing the main street(maybe it's due to during Chinese New year, there's not that much traffic anyway). The staff is very kind and helpful, because all the kitchen are closed, they helped us to order food delivery door to door, providing us useful tips without asking. We would definitely come back!

Very Good
The room was massive!! It was very clean, you could tell it was older but very clean. Massive bath and shower! And the free hot springs were great! Location is awesome! So easy to get everywhere!
The breakfast is not worth the money. We were on a non smoking floor yet next door continually smoked making our room smell. The hotel did not address this. On check out day we had two suitcases, we each had easily over 40 kgs of luggage and my mum had hurt her foot so was struggling to walk. The station to get to the airport was a 20 min walk (down streets with cobblestone paths) and the hotel would not get as a taxi as it was too difficult because it was so close. They rolled their eye at us and snickered because we wanted a cab but they would not arrange this for us or help us ask the taxi driver if he would drop us given the luggage and injury. They said we either walk or pay hundreds of RMB for the taxi to take us to the airport. This was not a nice way to end our stay there.

Good
The bed was very good. Huge and comfortable. Comfortable seating and two large modern TVs Decent sized fridge, and it was clean. Enough variety at breakfast for most people to find something to eat,, although it might not necessarily be something you'd normally have for breakfast.
The room was generally a bit tired and worn, my exec double room had two bathrooms! but the shower in one was just a bit too low for an average height westerner and the other one had a couple of niggky faults that made it a bit awkward to use too. These were minor issues though, there was good water pressure with plenty of piping hot water. Room service options seemed limited and communication was a bit hard work as I only speak a few words of Mandarin. I ate out most nights. I'd also say you need to be ready to accept things the way they are if you want to eat out in the surrounding area. To be fair though I didn't try the hotel restaurant in the evening so can't comment on that.

Older hotel, but still in good shape. Lovely scent all over, good location and friendly staff. Nice bathroom and clean rooms
Missed someone with English skills for better communication. Pool is not at the hotel but is a part of a wellness center outside of the building.

The toilet & room were huge & fantastic. There was a tepee & some toys for my nephew to play. Thats very thoughtful of them. Beside that, customer can use the hotel spa & indoor swimming pool.
The vanity light should use white instead of yellow.

Really nice comfy big room, lovely bathroom and bath facilities. The hotel has a Fab fish pond in thr lobby and it really is clean and good value for money.
It's not really that near anything except a big motorway. We couldn't find anywhere to go within walking distance and the staff had no english so unfortunately they couldn't help direct us anywhere. We just got taxis to areas that weren't that far and taxis are cheap.

Large, clean and beautiful rooms. The spa was included in the price and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very good and there were lots of options.
The staff is extremely bad at English and the beds are very hard to sleep in.

Good location , not far from metro station and Beijing station. Nice to have bathtub in room - after a lot of walk in Beijing to get in spa hot water is big plus! Would be more better if they can explain about spa possibility at check in time - somehow we discovered where and how but it was not mention at all. Good breakfast.
We were probably just unlucky but sadly at that days there was some technical accident with spa or electric problem - air condition to heat up room did not work - we had 4 nights everyday became colder and colder - we were not informed in advance about this uncomfortable problem - outside was quite cold. When we complained and asked to solved this problem, they finally said "all the rooms has same problem- no heating those days! " - so instead of that they gave us free breakfast for lest of 2 days - so we were staying in the cold room heating up the body with hot-spa water. The 3rd night - electric-power shut down suddenly what caused stop running hot water around 9 pm - the electricity breakdown took about 30 min, and than the hotel staff came to apologize about no electric with 3 small sweats. Later on the hot water started run again but spa-water became more dark brown than normal yellow - including dust. So we did not take a bath and stay in cold room - that is unexpected for this value of hotel. Most disappointed point is that they did no apologize when is check-out - they are doing everything is normal and OK. We would love to come back to this hotel if those problems would not happen.

This is a good hotel to stay in Beijing, big rooms, big bathroom and great bath tub. Food was great, especially in the restaurant, as was Buffett breakfast, catering well for westerners. Reasonably good location, close to main attractions.
English was a struggle, especially trying to find shops and directions. Front desk was Ok for English.

Good value, large rooms and close to metro. Good choice of breakfast. I would stay there again.
A bit of a smell of smoke in the room seems to be common in chinese hotels. It went after a few days. Don't bother buying any aerosol can spray as the metro security will take any aerosol can with flammable symbol when they scan your bags which is standard at every metro station. The deposit charge took a few days to be refunded to my card which should be expected.
