The design is a problem - it gets on your nerves quickly, it is aggressive but the staff were kind and let me have the requested room which had a blue tone and therefore less aggressive

Everything was pretty much perfect. Room was incredibly pretty with a stunning view, bed was by far one of the most comfortable Ive ever slept on. The bathroom was very nice, and the property in general benefits from a gorgeous view and terrific facilities.
Breakfast was delicious with a huge range of options. Staff was courteous and very helpful.
Restaurant Yen was very solid but certainly no better than other restaurants around Shanghai, and given the high prices it would be advisable to eat elsewhere in the city.

Amazing views from the room, with seating along the window to fully enjoy the view The room was well designed and furnished Nice touches like a double vanity sink, bath tub and separate shower, fully stocked mini-bar with a wide range of alcohol selection Felt premium Attentive staff, porters took care of our luggage
Check in process was a bit confusing, required a deposit exceeding the room rate, did get refunded in the end Location is slightly out of the main areas, however fairly easy to get the underground from the building next door, walkable to the Bund, lots of taxis available if needed Noticed some dirt on the windows which detracted from the amazing vista, noticeable when taking a photo

Windows were very dirty so we couldn't see much of the stunning view, Unfriendly staff, we had to wait to be seated and they chose the place to sit even if it's half full dinning area.

I loved every single thing about it, the atmosphere, the rooms and even their amenities. The staff were also very attentive and when I asked them for an amazing experience they provided me with more than what I could ever imagine. Id definitely give this place another visit if Im ever in the area.
