Hotel is far from thermal water area you need to wait funikular to go downtown.hotel is located on the hill but quiet beautiful and full of fresh air.
Karlovy vary is exveptional beautiful city..

Disappointing
We had half board which included breakfast and dinner. It was reasonably good quality and good value for money. The staff keeps the property very clean.
Property location is on a hill overlooking the town. While exterior looks fantastic, interior is dated and much of the space is consumed by dated hallways with nothing in them. Rooms are therefore small considering the size of the property. Bathrooms are very dated , there are no shower stalls and bathtubs are very dangerous to walk into , slippery and with no handrails. There is no ambience lighting to provide comfort overnight making it difficult to find the way around in the dark. Family suite was not equipped for family gathering - just two bedrooms connected with an empty space. Staff at the bar were rude. The hotel is not a walking distance to centre town for normal traveller. It is located on a steep hill which requires good fitness condition especially if stay is for multiple days. I would pick Grand Hotel Pupp over this one if I go again.

Great Facility, location and rooms
We came to spend two days of Christmas with 3 kids and dog. After long day driving we came to hotel and decided to have a Christmas dinner buffet at the hotel, which was advised to us at reception. When we came we received absolutely no support from administrator lady to get a table for us. It looked like her main duty was to make sure that no one we will get a free dinner. One would never expect such service at 5 star hotel. Eventually we found a table with help of very kind waitress. Y
Our Christmas mood was gone, which basically affected our whole stay. Money-wise, we ended-up paying 170 EUR for a buffet for 5 persons excluding drinks. You can easily find a good place to eat with far better service and price in many places around the hotel. I want to highlight that all waiters did a good job at dinner and the breakfast we had to have at the hotel.
Never comeback to this place again.

Its very well located, the overall experience was nice. Views are stunning.
The bathroom facilities are very outdated, f.e. the hairdryer and also that the shower head was very unpractical. For the Spa treatments, it was not very relaxing as you would expect in a Spa, but had more the feeling of get it done quickly and it was very noisy in the Spa area.
The food in the dinner buffet was very overcooked unfortunately and very little vegetarian options, but maybe we were not the target group for the food choices

Pool/spa area are a bit dated with tacky 1980s tiles. It might be about time to update them.

Very Good
Room was spacious with nice view to the nature landscape and front yard. We enjoyed swimming pool and sauna even though it was tiny. Breakfast was good.
Ive ordered foot massage and Thai lady didnt change towels after person before me, I could clearly see that someone lied on that towel. She didnt speak English, so when I pointed on the towel, she just removed the towel and didnt put anything. Considering the service is not that cheap, this is something not acceptable. Also, during breakfast I was trying to put nuts into my porridge and took nuts together with black hair. Shower was not comfortable, as I could not hand it on the wall without making flood on the floor and had to carry on in my hangs. Location is on the hill, so that you have to take cable car (free) to go up and down, but it once in 15 minutes. Overall value for money wasnt great.

The hotel has a very interesting history that I studied before I came. And yes - a very interesting hotel with fine rooms and a fine view over the city or to the mountains-- my room was to the mountain-side. The food in restaurant Praha was fine.
The staff should learn something about good service - I really wondered about their attitude to the guests.

Old Charme, Building itself, nice views, cable car close by, great variety of food at the buffet (some vegetarian options)
Staff is helpful after being asked, but was reduced to the minimum. The interaction was a bit cold (no smile)
