Breakfast was good, staff were very helpful and gave us a really good introduction to the area. Comfortable, clean and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The shower head was hung quite low on the wall which meant we (around 58) had to stoop very slightly to get under the head. Anybody taller might have struggled.

Great location with a bus stop to Karlovy Vary right in front of the hotel. Comfortable beds, cosy rooms with functioning radiators, fast Wifi, fine breakfast. Parking lot next to the hotel with a camera system.
The apartment bathrooms need a renovation, toilets on the ground floor even more. As a little bonus I would add two glasses to every room.

Room pleasant, bed super comfortable, great breakfast and price was very reasonable. Denis, owner went to a lot of trouble to make our stay nice. Parts of the hotel need a bit of maintenance (bathrooms) but we enjoyed our stay.
Shower in particular had little water pressure and things just need a bit of love and attention. But we could live with that as the room was cheap and we would happily recommend if you want a nice and cheaper place to stay.

Hotel St Michael is romantically as well as strategically located between three famous Czech spa resorts: Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), Marianske Lazne (Marienbad) and Frantiskovy Lazne (Franzenbad). It is located at the riverbank of the Tepla river in a quiet area. The hotel has windows/rooms looking out on the riverside and windows/rooms looking out on the steep mountain ridge of the Tepla river valley. We had a room with no view and we were very satisfied. The modern double-glazed window offered sufficient ventilation possibilities and there are curtains for extra darkness. The bedroom is spacious and the king-size bed is OK. We slept well. The bathroom features a shower with a fixed spraying head and a fixed soap dispenser. The wifi reception was excellent. The breakfast (8.00 - 10.30) featured many kinds of bread, corn flakes, yoghurt, hot eggs, frankfurters, many juices, tea & more than enough coffee. The car was parked next to the hotel and under camera control by the receptionist. In the morning the heating of the bedroom radiotor was functioning (in the 2nd half of May!)
We came to the hotel by car. For those who don't have their own means of transport the hotel may be too distant from the spa resorts. The hotel has no restaurant. (We arrived at the hotel after having had our evening dinner elsewhere). But when you have a car and are able to organise the evening dinner on your own this hotel is a winner. Therefore our verdict: Very much recommended!

Breakfast was good. Not perfect. One time, they may provide bad sauce. Mainly issue was that they said they have wellness and when we arrived, owner told us that they provide wellness only in Summer. We wont come there again.
