Location! It is centrally located. You can walk one direction to the square (guided tours) and the other direction to the castle. The breakfast is excellent with many choices. All kinds of restaurants around. Ask the front desk for local recommendations. We had dinner twice at that restaurant. Great food and reasonable price.
As this is a popular area, you can expect it to be noisy. Find out how to close the windows and it will eliminate some noise. There were 2 layers of windows and we didn’t know the outside windows were open.

Shower wasn't great. It was difficult to keep it at right temperature. Hair dryer overheated very quickly but staff were very accommodating and gave me a new one.

Great location. Breakfast was ok, pastries were a bit dry. Was mega-busy at 8.30am and a bit too packed in, it was hard to actually get to the buffet. Staff were friendly and rooms and bathrooms clean and functional.
Noise, the corridors are so echoey you hear everything, people coming and going until 3.30am, as well as the noise from outside, which isn’t controllable but a lot of it came from staff moving trolleys of bedding around and the underground car park.

We had a good stay at this hotel in the heart of Prague! The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from all the main attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety and was always fresh. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite being so central. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Prague!
The space of restaurant a bit small for the capacity of the hotel, during the breakfast time there were people waiting to sit.

My second time staying in the Hotel Bologna, its location is fantastic it’s the main reason I’ve stayed again. Turn left coming out of the hotel and a 5 min walk you are at the Old Square, turn right and walk for 5 mins and you are at the Vltava River.
We had booked a family room for three of us but on arrival the desk had given us two double rooms instead, the reason wasn’t explained to us but my 21 year old son was delighted to have his own space so it worked out in his favour.
About the desk staff, they were super. Always friendly, greeted with a smile and always asked if they could help in any way.
The breakfast has lots of options and you can go back with your plate as often as you like.
Our room, 518, was a little quirky. Entrance area with large windows, a wardrobe and table with 2 chairs. You stepped up through double doors into the bed area (twin bed) which is large but because of no windows in this area can be dark, which is great at night time for sleeping. Off this area is a small area with a place for your suitcases and then a door into the en-suite which was a good size for a hotel.
My son got the double room and he has absolutely no issues with it. The cleaners come to the rooms every day, once they arrived into my son’s room while he was still there and in bed! Communal areas were always clean and clear from clutter.
There is a restaurant and bar on the ground floor of the hotel which we ate in a couple of times. The food was so nice, pizza is delicious, and very reasonable.
The only downside for me is that the rooms are not soundproofed. The wall between my son’s room and our room was so thin we could hear his telephone conversations. I’m only saying this in case others can’t sleep with noise from other rooms. It is not a deal breaker for us, we will definitely book again.
