Exceptional
I went to visit the Bad Harzburg, racing festival, another unknown gem. This hotel was a great base. Great food, with a slight Aseatic/Indian leaning. The hotel has good sized modernised bedrooms - mine had a balcony. It is located approximately 900 metres from the town centre and easy walking distance. The breakfast was excellent and I can recommend the "Ginger Shot" to start the day. The staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant and were very efficient. This hotel also makes a great place to stay for walking in the Harz mountains and after a hard days walking - sit on the balcony with a few beers and watch the sun go down - excellent - a real Gem

Room was not as expected. We booked a room with terrace expecting a nice room with a view but instead got a room looking onto an internal hotel walkway so no view, & with a general lack of daylight & limited privacy due to facing glass walkway (which was only partially shielded from direct view into room). Bathroom also had no window and as the room was on a main walkway right off reception so there was door and foot noise every time anyone walked past.
