Over the last twenty five years we must have stayed in this hotel at least twenty times....... this time the hotel placed a pending charge for the full amount owing for two rooms (we were with friends) to my card on arrival...... and then charged my card the full amount again on departure. So far I've had double the amount owed deducted from my available bank balance..... and five days after we departed, despite notifying the hotel, this pending charge has still not been rectified!

The room was clean, nice and comfy bed and the towels were changed every day. Easy location to town centre, parks and the train station. The receptionists were helpful and welcoming. They provide a small safe to keep valuables. When I went down to reception in case there is a problem, they sort it out quickly.
As for the staff,, luckily there was one staff member who speaks English on the next shift and he helped to print my boarding pass before I checked out.
Some of the staff don't understand and speak English which makes it difficult to communicate. The phone to call the reception wasn't working and every time I needed something I had to go up and down the lift from the 4th floor which was annoying. The worst part there was hardly any staff at the reception in the evening. I had to go around looking for someone to get help.
The room was not sound proof as I could hear people talking from the room next door. It was very hot as there was no air conditioning in the room
When I went down to inform the reception, a lady staff told me that unfortunately she can't help me with this as the hotel doesn't provide fans for clients.

Friendly, fast and helpful staff. Easy Check-In and Easy Check-Out. Additional requests were fulfilled in a timely manner. The room was exceptional large and up to modern standards (Cable-TV with local and foreign stations, large storage area, designer chair, AC and Heat, Power at the bed). The AC worked great after closing the windows, the blinds reflected any outside light perfectly.
Sadly, the white towels had black spots and lots of hair in them. There were multiple spiders in the room that were clearly visible, so no chance to overlook them. The door was very hard to open and close, the doorframe was dented. Additionally, the walls were very thin, I was able to hear conversations by other guests from the floor. Other doors opening and closing was also noticable. The Bathtub had rusty spots.

The room was big and bright and one could open the windows. A complimentary bottle of water was also appreciated.
There was no welcome at the reception. One felt as if one was intruding. Very matter of fact and no smile. Taking a shower in the bath with only half a screen is very difficult and a wet affair. A small breakfast offering would be great instead of a full buffet.

The hotel is easy to reach, the parking is pretty convenient. The room was fine.
The hotel was full of older people and we really wanted to let them use the elevators and use stairs ourselves as we stayed on the first floor, the stairs are closed and it's not possible to reach the room this way. We booked for 4 people but our room was prepared for 3. We informed the reception and they provided a set of bedding pretty fast.
