This family-run hotel is located on the edge of the forest in Braunlage offers its own sauna, solarium and hydrojet massage. The breakfast contained the full range of goodies one would expect from a 'continental' breakfast...meat, cheese, eggs, bread rolls, jam, yoghurts, etc etc Enough variety to set one up fro the day... Yummy! Oh, and try the cafe - a fantastic range of home made cakes - yummy
The hotel is a throw back to a traditional German hotels of the 80's - very traditional - having spent many years in and out of hotels - the rooms are excellent, spotlessly clean, flat screen TV, etc - the only thing missing is a tea & coffee making facilities in the room - plus a kettle, of course....

Idyllically set overlooking the town with easy access to hiking trails towards St. Andreasberg. A five-minute walk to the centre of town. Extremely friendly hosts serving an ample breakfast including local produce. The room was adequate for a short stay. The Wurmberg is worth a visit. The local buses are free of charge.
The room on the top floor was susceptible to early morning noise from other rooms or from under the roof. We were not sure whether it was an animal (marten? ) moving about or just a noisy human. on creaking floorboards. Suggest the hosts investigate!
