Everything about it was what I’d have expected from a Relais & Châteaux property. The staff was incredible. Although it’s a short walk (10 min) to the old city, using the tram makes it even easier.

Among the top 5 properties to consider for Dresden, and it mostly delivers nicely in a nice ambience. The Reception Team did very well to ensure we were looked after and received anything we asked for along the evening, very important when traveling with small children, often having to depend on the quick response of the hotel team for a smooth experience.
- We tried out multiple top hotels across Europe over the holidays and the beds of the Palais were by far my wife's favorite out of them all in terms of comfort.
Taken into account this is a 5-Star Property:
- We could feel the shortage in Staff, probably/hopefully due to the holidays (the ladies at the reception and the doorman were carrying out too many tasks, which is why we had no welcome arriving at the hotel and had to ask for the luggage and parking service after getting to the reception).
- No Coffee or Tea making amenities in the room, but was offered once we asked for it.
A general observation of the Hospitality level in Germany, 5-Star or 4-Star properties: Ever since the pandemic days, you cannot take any services for granted, and if you need additional services or amenities one needs to be mindful about actively asking.

Not exactly in the center of Christmas events, but conveniently close to the markets. We were pampered by the staff throughout our short stay. The wholesome experience was topped up with complimentary SPA entrance where we were all alone for most of the time

Fantastic location.
The wifi was terrible and I asked staff to fix it. Nothing was done.
Pillows are flat and the king sized bed is two king singles put together.

Clean and good facilities as well helpful and nice staff. Location is not exactly in city center, but walking distance (15mins) to main Christmas markets and having a small one few steps away from hotel. Traveled with kids and didn't feel that walking was too much.

An excellent hotel with great and helpful staff. Location is great, there is a parking garage with chargers in the hotel building in the basement. Rooms were nice and quiet, service was excellent. Highly recommended!
There is a "smell" in the basement of the building..it persisted there during our stay. It did not extend to the hotel.
