Wonderful
The hotel is located in the creative and engaging New Town district. The building is very nice, with good ventilation and heating, and the rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. It truly feels like an art museum.
The rooms only have coffee capsules and no minibar, not even a bottle of water. There is water, but it's from a vending machine in the lobby. I was so tired from the journey that it took me a while to realise I needed to go to the lobby to get water. It would have been nice to have a sign in the room about this, just mentioning the vending machine.

Wonderful
Fascinating hotel on a street that has been untouched since the 1920s and so gives a sense of what Dresden looked like before WW2. The staff is excellent, helpful and communicate a sense of joy as they work. The breakfast is great with cooked to order eggs and bacon. There is extra coffee and snacks during the day in the lobby. The pool is a special touch. Excellent place to store your bicycle.

Disappointing
We booked the hotel because of the central location and cute photos of the colorful "kitsch" decor of the "boutique" hotel.
One of the WORST hotel experiences!!!! Our tiny stuffy room was on the 4th floor under the roof and the air conditioning/fan did not work so we had to keep the window open which meant we heard ALL the noise from the street ( constant trams, drunk tourists, pedestrians, everything!) which made for a terrible nights sleep ( it was 30C / 86 F in our room). The guests next door to us had the same issue. They only stayed one night. Beware that after 9pm, hotel guests must enter through the side alley ( they don't tell you that before hand- just a sign on the front door), there is no one at the front desk reception area after 9pm - so no customer service until the next business day. There were other guests we met at the front of the hotel equally confused as us about how to get in to the hotel at night. The next morning we asked the owner who happened to be at the front desk if she wouldn't mind checking our air conditioning/ventilation unit and/or give us a different room. She rudely refused and told us she will send a technician AFTER we check out of the room. Not even an apology or lets see what we can do to solve this. We originally booked the hotel for 2 nights. We cancelled our second night there. Glad we did. In general, the hotel is cute in pictures, but in reality, it is worn down, unclean (mold in the shower), stained tired carpet and dirt spots on the walls, ash trays in front of the hotel entrance over flowing...
Even with all of that, we would have stayed if the owner tried to help solve the problem, rather than dismiss our reasonable request and responded so rudely.
To be fair, the staff was friendly but they were not able to assist us because the owner refused to care.

Kitchenette was mini-mini without most things needed to cook with and a fridge for maybe three small beers. Overpriced for the quality.

Loved this beautiful little hotel. The styling was gorgeous - very bohemian with stunning colours in the reception area and the individually styled bedrooms.
Staff were lovely and there were lots of little extra touches that added to the lovely vibe.
Swimming pool was really nice though a bit chilly for me.
It was a fabulous location in the alternative area of Dresden.
It was by far our favourite hotel in our tour of Germany.

Clean hotel, in a historic building, but very nicely decorated. I only stayed one night, but the room was big, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. In particular, I would like to thank the receptionist who was so kind to work extra hours just to wait to give me the key and still with a smile on her face.

I think the soundproofing of the rooms could be improved because in the morning I could hear a little too clearly when the nearby neighbors left.

The location. Nice restaurants in the area, close to a supermarket and easy to find good walking paths with the dogs. Friendly neighbourhood.
I don’t recommend the breakfast. Overpriced. Very small portions and a limited variation.
The beds are hard and bring your own pillow if you are use to a small and soft one.
