Excellent breakfast.
we were told we would have pay 9 euro's to turn AC on. Room was a bit stuffy. We opened a window which was a bit noisy because we were above the terrace restaurant. in the photos and description this is sold as a Schloss/ Palace experience. But they would not allow us to view the amazing gardens without paying extra. Even though all eleven of us (bike group from Australia) ate and drank at the restaurant. Seemed pretty lousy and mean spirited. Staff not very friendly, in fact some staff seemed quite impatient and dismissive. We'd ridden out of our way to get there so it was not quite the Chateau experience you thought you were getting.

High quality, well designed room with very comfy bed, excellent setting within the Pillnitz Palace complex on the banks of the Elbe, with easy access to Dresden city centre via city bus 68 (nearby) and tram line Nr2 across the river via ferry.

A beautiful room - quiet and very comfortable. All of the staff were so welcoming and kind. A great (and dellicious!) choice for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much, and are looking forward to returning.

Beautifully located hotel close to the Elb and Schloss Pillnitz and its park With a car the hotel was ideal both for sightseeing in Dresden and for an excursion to Saxonian Switzerland. Breakfast was delicious, and with attentive service.
We started out one night in a small comfort double room at second floor, where the bed (with the size of a French grand lit or a queen bed) was not at all comfortable and much too small for two adults to get a good nights sleep. We were then offered as alternative, probably the last available superior double room in the hotel for the next three nights. The somewhat larger room with an ordinary double bed was OK, but the view from the room was horrible: each morning we could look at the delivery of food and beverages and watch the waste containers being picked up by the garbage collectors (see photo). We paid the ordinary prize of a superior double room with no reduction! We were surprised that a four star hotel does not offer tea and coffee facilities in the room, and that you as a hotel guest has to pay for an ordinary cup of coffee when you ask for it in the bar.

The bed was making a lot of sounds although the mattress was comfortable. The breakfast was smaller than expected.

The hotel is very convenient, breakfast was outstanding! Beds are wonderful. Our room was very quiet. And the palace is worth seeing.
You have to drive at least 45 min from the motorway (A4 direction France), and the route is narrow and difficult, especially at night. We booked the table in the hotel's restaurant, but when we finally arrived at 22.00, the restaurant and the bar were closed. Happily we got some Weinbrand (thank you!), but still I suppose we should have beed warned about restaurant's hours which are not mentioned at the website, btw.

My third visit to the hotel and again I have to give "10". I love this place. For small things like: gentle classical music during the breakfast, tasty liquor in the room, YouTube in the TV, peaceful surroundings, closeness to the Elberadweg.
As far as I remember restaurant is closed on Mondays. It could be downside. Is not for me.

A quiet and beautiful location beside Schloss Pillnitz and the River Elbe. It was very clean and comfortable and quieter than a hotel in central Dresden. Dinner was served on the terrace which was very nice.
