Wonderful
Breakfast was excellent, better than most 4- and many 5-star hotels. Plenty of choice for every taste, and more than enough of everything. Very friendly service, and they gave a card to use for free public transport, and no charge. Walking distance to the metro
Cheap bouncy mattress, at least in my room, which was in a corner of the top floor.

We travelled for three weeks through Europe. The staff at Rheinischer Hof made as feel very much at home. And their breakfast menu was the best we experienced throughout the entire trip. Great way to experience German culture by getting exposed to German classic literature - the owners are fans of Goethe and they provide a fine selection of classic literature to the guests.
I wish though that we had not booked through booking , com. They change the rates, something we noticed that on other occasions as well. We will contact all of our hotels directly, from now on.

Shared a twin room and it was very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable. Location was excellent with U-Bahn station was 2 minutes walk away. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could want
