Disappointing
The location is great, right at the entrance to the city centre with lots of bars and restaurants.
The breakfast was very disappointing, an hour before finish half the items (there werent many to start with) were gone and wouldnt be replenished. The reason given by the staff was well its weekend and very busy ( one might think you could pre-plan for that occasion). The hotel shouldve been renovated a while ago. The room smelled like old carpet and the curtain was ridiculously old. There were no basic 4* hotel items like a coffee machine or kettle, there werent even basic bath room items like cotton buds or anything of that kind. Beside that our room was right at the elevator, with the headrest of the bed exactly against the elevator. And the pillows were horrible. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels in Germany and internationally and I cant remember one quite as overpriced as what was offered here.

Breakfasts were really good with a huge range of different foods. Spa/sauna ad pool were clean and easy to access. Robes and extra towels were available f.o.c on request. The reception staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful, providing extra coat hangers and an adapter when we forgot ours, and printing out our boarding passes for the trip home
The restaurant was in a fantastic room but only had a buffet (the same every night) which we thought was overpriced

The room was clean and comfortable and the sauna and pool were easy to access and use.
The front of the hotel wasnt well marked or lightened.

I really enjoyed the wellness center. Great having such a nice facility.
I was on foot getting to the hotel. Although the distance from the train station wasn't a problem, I had difficulty rolling my suitcase over the cobblestone streets. If I were doing it again I'd take a taxi.

The reception staff was very personal, I got along with all of them especially richy whom I came down to chat with for fun whenever I was bored. I didn't learn the names of the others but they gave me wonderful advice for my motorcycle trip and helped me with parking and special requests. 11/10.
It's an old building and things can't be changed much but in summer it can get hot and it's quite tight, but that's not much to be changed. The bathrooms though and where you place your towels I did not like, pulling one towel off the first night I dropped the two below it into the toilet by accident, very cramped.

Friendly Stuff (reception), Great Location.
Hygiene, Bathroom, The carpet in the room smells bad, The staff in the breakfast room are very rude, as if they are unhappy with their jobs. And that made us feel very uncomfortable.

Nice room. Good shower. Good breakfast , very central, right by the station and lovely pool ( though a little cold) but the jacuzzi was great though. All in all great hotel. It has a restaurant too. Goslar is a really nice town with lots of old buildings. Really loved the hotel :)
