Disappointing
whilst booking, there was a guarantee of available safe parking space during the night. Only whilst chekcing in did the desklady inform me that there was an additional charge for the parking space wich I'd reserved.

The restaurant, food and service, was amazing. The bar area was very comfortable with delicious cocktails and long drinks. It was great to get water at the bar to take to the room. Parking was available. The stylish refurbishment of such an old building was impressive.
We booked a room with a gallery, but the gallery was unusable, which made our stay much too expensive. There was no place to sit in the bedroom and very few sockets for electrical devices. Although the bathroom was comfortable, the sink was leaking and the shower was very stiff and difficult to use. There was a wedding party on Saturday evening, so we had no place to have a drink or nightcap.

The bartender was great and friendly
Everything were very good. Just to mention that we in Scandinavia are use to have more fresh vegetables and fruits on breakfast. Juice was often run out.

The hotel is an old monastery perfectly located in Kassel. The rooms are very cozy and very well maintained. The restaurant offers very delicious food with high quality ingredients sourced locally.
In my room, I did not have any electrical plugs near my bed.

Great location, friendly welcome on arrival and all staff were pleasant. Short walk to the town centre, theatre and shopping centre. River just a minute walk from the hotel.
Good sized room (109) with an excellent shower.
Bar and Restaurant (ate breakfast only) exceptionally clean and well presented.
Onsite parking available, and private parking to the the rear.

Good location near the city center and the Orangerie. Friendly staff in a nicely renovated previous monastery. Good breakfast with several locally made products. Modern bathroom with shower. We really enjoyed the Silvestergala hosted by the hotel.
The beds are a bit hard. It is difficult to order a drink or tea in the lounge area during dinner. We were overlooked for half an hour. This is especially annoying since there are no tea or coffee facilities in the room and the breakfast did not have black tea options. The single person rooms enter through the bathroom.

- The staff wasnt engaged in the sense that they replied to any questions I had but didnt inform about anything beforehand (if that makes sense). Furthermore I got the strong impression that all staff seemed like guests themselves rather than working staff - partly this could have something to do with the fact that they wore their personal clothes and not staff clothes.
- The price (+200) was a total ripoff in comparison to what one received - both in terms of facilities, comfort and location. We have stayed in hotels of similar quality all over Germany but never ever experienced such a high price.
- After making my reservation I was informed in an apologetic message that there was a wedding party ongoing during my stay and that consequently it might be noisy! That fact, if anything, should have been reflected in the room price or, at least, been informed about before my reservation went through.
- Whilst paying (when checking out) we were kindly informed by the receptionist that we could add the tip before pressing the green OK-button. That was a bit over the top from a place that had delivered the bare minimum for an outrageous price tag. We were taken aback to say the least.

Loved the old brick building - lots of character and charm. Room was large, quiet, very comfortable. Coffeemaker in the room was great.
Could have had better night tables and lighting. While the tables were decorative and stylish they were completely nonfunctional.
