I overlooked St. Nicholai Church and it was thrilling! (The peace demonstrations here helped reunite Germany.) The central location in the Alte Stadt was perfect for Oper Leipzig, Gewandhaus, the main train station, lots of lovely shops and restaurants. I happened to be their during their fall festival which added lots of fun. The music was awesome - on the street and in the churches - all very reasonably priced and outstanding value. Leipzig is exciting and there is much more to explore (the waterway, museums, etc.) so I'll be back and stay at this Motel One! I appreciate the sustainabiity pursuit of these properties. Bravo Motel One.
