Reception, concierge and room service all excellent
I am still waiting for my open provision of 12 October to be paid back to my credit card and I am very upset. Talked to y bank and they said it is either Booking.com or the Hotel. Please help as this is very annoying. Thank you.

Room allotted orginally was not up to expection (old room with high tub; which was very difficult to enter) on second request, were changed on to new wing on the 5th floor; provided only two small water bottles; on request for additional bottles , were flatly refused:

Wonderful stay at this absolutely iconic hotel in Munich. Fabulous concierge and front desk staff, helping us with even the most difficult-to-get dinner reservations! Excellent rooms and wonderful views from the rooftop bar and the breakfast restaurant.
Perhaps the Trader Vics downstairs is a bit in need of an update, and the staff are a bit rude. But I realise this is a separate business and not the fault of Bayerischer Hof!

It was overcrowded. Value for money not great. 780 Euros are getting you a small room, no daily fresh drinking water and no breakfast

The reception staff was very friendly, the room was exactly as shown on the pictures, all clean and comfy. The hotel offers a huge amount to explore, it's a huge building with several bars, several restaurants, a spa, a theatre, multiple shops, you can't get bored.
The (hidden) costs for breakfast are just horrible. I'm used to 5* prices, don't get me wrong, but what they are charging is a ripp off. They charge a floor fee per person, plus the regular room service fee per person, and be careful, even if you only order coffee and a couple of croissants, they're going to charge you for the breakfast buffet which is almost 50 EUR per person. I paid 120 EUR for 2 people for 2 coffee, a couple of croissants, one muesli, and a bottle of water. The bottle of sparkling water (San Pellegrino was 14,50 EUR!!)
