Family room - spacious, clean and comfortable Breakfast - nice variety of choice and friendly staff
Parking: 12 euros per night, quite expensive knowing that many hotels usually don't charge a fee. Electric charging station - 20 euros per charge, overpriced and not even the option to pay per usage. Many hotels don't even charge a fee. And I am not surprised that no one has been using it during the time we were there.

The staff was helpful in reaching a solution for our problem with the room. The view was beautiful and the property is peaceful. Nearby playground and on-site giant chess was a great bonus for our family.
The room description before booking, the confirmation email, and even the fire escape plan showed the room having a kitchen, but recent remodeling removed the kitchen. No hot water kettle was even in the room and no coffee or tea service was available.

The large windows in the room and the bed that was large and comfortable.
The fact that the photos on Booking.com didn't match the room we were given. Many of the corona safety measure recommended by the hotel were not followed by staff or guests. We didn't use the wellness centre, so we cannot comment about it, but for a short stay (we were just driving through) it wasn't worth the money. Additionally the address given on Booking.com didn't match the property check in building, so we spent long time wandering around where to go.

Exceptional
The location is great and the access is superb. The parking needs to be paid extra, there would be limited space for parking outside the hotel. Due to corona we had some limitation of the wellness facilities, but it is what it is. We had an apartment and it was ideal, as we were completely independent from any scheduled breakfast time etc. Staff was very friendly and in general people and other guest in the region were also exceptionally friendly and welcoming, it was amazing. The hotel is at the edge of Oberhof with very easy access form main roads and was guidance was excellent. We also enjoyed lower guest numbers, so a more intimate atmosphere. Price-level in Oberhof for food etc. was also good. We are planning to return!
Ideally the parking could have been included. However, it was indicated and clear in the booking process and with guest arriving by bike or train, a conclusive decision.
