Great variation of breakfast, not just the standard cold cuts. Right beside the train station, great view from the winter garden.

Perfect place to stay if you want direct access to the historic train ride.
Good stay, nice breakfast. They were kind enough to pack us snack for our hike.
There is a small room for the kids to play.
Good value for the money.
Nothing to dislike.
If you want to be at Wernigerode then it's 9 km away.

The bed was a tad hard, but I slept well anyway.

The hotel is in a very good location. You can see the stream engine train from the room and can anak go out for a nice walks. The breakfast was also pretty good.
The dinner was pretty mediocre, but the breakfast was good so I have and mixed feelings.

Amazing location, close to a lot of walking routes. I had an apartment with a view of the train station and every now and then a train toots into the station. The breakfasts buffet isi extensive and excellent.
Sadly the Harz region has had a lot of trouble with a bug that kills the pinetrees. The region the hotel is in is in is hit by this also. The apartments were not fully booked and this was nie since they are quite close together. It was fine now, but can imagine its a bit crowded when fully booked.

the apartment for 5 includes just 2 beds, 1 sleeping bank for 2 persons and a strechter. quite strict with timetables

Perfectly situated for exploring the Harzgebirge. The restaurant serves standard German fare and an excellent breakfast.
