The friendliness of the staff, the beautiful garden and the welcoming atmosphere...as well as great food!
It was a lovely visit, but perhaps some staff were slightly too quick to move us through the courses of the meal.

It is a beautiful hotel and lovely garden/courtyard. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is excellent. Walking distance to center of town and also the train station.
The bathroom only had a shower and not a bathtub.

Fantastic restaurant with outstanding food, staff, and lovely dining room. Quiet location but short walk to the town center. Secure parking. Very nice staff.
The WiFi was poor. A couple apps, e.g., Apple News, refused to load stating you are not connected to the server. Its an older building, built in 1888. So the steps are narrow, winding, and steep.

Pleasant room overlooking the garden. Bottle of water and kettle etc in the room was appreciated. We had dinner on the first evening which was exceptional. Breakfast had a wide choice of options. Easy and picturesque walk over the river to the city of about 10 minutes.

Friendly, clean hotel with the friendliest staff that also has no problem speaking English. But the best thing about the hotel? The restaurant! Well worth driving an extra mile (or more!). Dont forget to make a reservation at the restaurant when you book the hotel because it can be full.

We loved the entourage, the garden and the lovely dinner.
The Corona-induced breakfast routine was odd and its effectiveness slightly debatable (one pepper keg and one salt shaker were available all guests)

I would describe this as a restaurant with rooms! The hotel is charming, by no means 5 star nor does it pretend to be. Our room was fine and the bed, most importantly, was extremely comfortable. However, what is 5 star is the restaurant, we had a superb meal in wonderful surroundings served by exceptional staff. If we ever come to Amboise again we will certainly stay here.
The only fault I could find was that there were only 2 teabags in the room and when we asked for more before we went to bed we were told they were unavailable as the chambre man had them! Anyway I am really nit picking here but any fellow Irish or Brits be warned!!

We were just passing by and thought this would be a convenient place to stay and eat. We were most pleasantly surprised by one of the best French dinners we ever had! I've lived in France for 2 years, and have lived on the French border ever since then, so this is saying something. This dinner was right up there with a 250 EUR dinner we once had in Paris -- at less than half the price! Also, very nice and cozy place, location perfect. If you're in the region for a day or a little longer, an absolute must!

The room was large and well equipped and very comfortable. An excellent breakfast is available. Good secure, undercover bicycle storage is available.
The Hotel is close to the station so will suit some but its not so close to the centre of Amboise.

Welcoming staff, quiet part of town, pleasant garden area. Great food in the restaurant and exceptionally helpful chef/owner to talk through the food and wine. Would return again to eat there it was really very good.!
Bedroom a bit small and would have been better suited to a single bed rather than a double. I'm sure there are bigger rooms and otherwise everything was fine.

A beautiful building furnished to a very high standard. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is quiet and just a short walk from the town centre and the wonderful Clos de Luce
We felt the restaurant was quite expensive with a very limited choice of dishes.
