Het house was really nice and clean.
The WiFi was not working for the first days. The pool was not cleaned and unready.

A great, rustic setup. We liked:
- the large, green space
- rustic and spacious setup
- very functional cottage
- pool is awesome (kids loved it)
- pleasant and engaging hosts
For some people, the accommodation is a bit dated.

The gite is very well decorated and the location is excellent to visit nearby towns. The grounds are vast and free to explore as well as the wild boar forest. Pool area is great and has a beautiful view of the chateau as well as the nearby village.

We really loved the peace and the beauty of the chateau and grounds. The gite had been beautifully converted and was comfortable and spacious. Michel was very friendly and helpful and spoke very good Engish which was helpful as our french isn't great! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the sanglier family, complete with piglets, and watching them at the end of the garden each day (behind a secure fence)! Nearby Saumur was very pretty and had some nice places to eat.
We were surprised to learn on arrival that that there was a timetable for pool usage allowing only two to two and a half hours for each family per day. We were lucky in that we got to use it more as the other gites weren't full, but would have been disappointed if this hadn't been the case. It was also a bit tricky being asked not to wear sunscreen in the pool area as there is no shade at all - two of our party burnt as a result. Outdoor seating (plastic loungers) needed cushions really (though we understand not having them might be a hangover from Covid) and it would be nice to have more fans available for the bedrooms.

Wonderful
Spacious accommodation in tranquil location, with lovely shared pool. Good base for visiting the area. Wild boar with their offspring in woodland behind (safely fenced in) were delightful to watch.
The house was generally well equipped but just a few simple additions would make it better e.g more mugs, tea towels, hooks for hanging up clothes and a few more outdoor chairs. Also the downstairs toilet and shower room being directly off the lounge is fine if you're with family or close friends, maybe not so much if you're shy, the upstairs bathroom is fine.
