I did not pay for breakfast, but it looked good, apart from the coffee machine. Definitely need a proper coffee not a pot staying warm. Location lovely and so beautiful.
Cleanliness of the bathroom. There was a brown liquid on the floor and the shower curtain was brown and mouldy. There was no Light above the shower, but just about ok to see.

We loved our room, it was absolutely gorgeous and we loved the little touches like the cookies & water on arrival. The reception staff were also great - very helpful. And the hotel itself is very pretty.
We didnt have the best experience at the restaurant - the meal started great but shortly after finishing our mains (which is all we ordered) we felt pretty ignored & uncomfortable. My partner works in a restaurant and it takes a lot for us to give up & leave, but we ended up doing just that.

Beautiful location, handy for the university and wider connections to airport, town and places of interest. Nice reasonably priced restaurants on site with polite staff and good selection of menus and wines.
Euro 300 per night canvas tent 'lodge' was grubby, dated and the wooden shower was very slippery which blocked and smelled. No kettle or water supplied, although I kept asking it was difficult to get anything without requesting. Breakfast plus service tax (Euro 25) are charged for every night, even if you didn't have breakfast. I selected this site due to spa and resturants, however neither had space for hotel guests, the focus and priority given to outsider visitors and "mr & mrs" appointments, apparently. Heads up - the spa is small only one staff member/ treatments are booked out for 2 months! I wanted to book treatments for each day but only achieved one cancellation hour appointment, I was squeezed in. The tables were booked out for parties (loud music until 12 / 12:30 then a while to settle down, this is no tranquil retreat!!). I was made to feel like an addition, not a guest. It was all very odd to be honest. The staff whilst kind just shrug and say they are overstaffed, and i should have reserved the spa and tables on booking my room (never mentioned).

Beautiful house and grounds with a small but nice spa and 3 different restaurants dotted around the property. The breakfast was great. Generous snd served by friendly staff either in the garden or the main house.
We stayed in the lodge room which was actually a large semi permanent tent. This medd as my that it was either cold or warm depending on the weather. It rained while we were there and the whole room felt damp and cold. In addition the toilet was tiny, separated from the rat if the room just by slatted wood. Location is in the suburbs of Bordeaux so youll need to take a taxi or a tram to get into town.

Beautiful house, nice facilities. Nicely done rooms, nice ambiance. Service by the staff was great. The building was stunning. Good for getting out to Cadillac etc.
It was just a bit average, which considering the cost was a bit of a disappointment. Food wasn't great, we found much better stuff in local restaurants for half the price, you are paying for the building. Location isn't great, miles 40 minute tram into Bordeaux. Lots of noise in the room from morning deliveries.

We really liked the design and the original themes of the rooms. The bar and restaurants are also nice. Special mention for the bar. The mixologists are the coolest ever!
The hotel is not in the main building of the domain. The storages of the room are just shelves with curtains which is poor for this standing of hotel. The TV is a bit old and small.

We spent one night in the lodges and had a horrible experience. Upon check-in, we informed the front desk that we had a very early flight to Nice in the morning for our friend's wedding and would be checking out early. We also told the front desk to arrange a cab to take us to the airport in the morning. They assured us that there would be someone awake to check us out and get us a cab. We waited for 30 minutes outside the front desk office at 5 am while it was dark and raining. The door was locked, lights were off and nobody showed up. We left the key outside the office and waited at the street hoping that they had ordered a cab for us. No cab showed up! We had no way of calling a cab and the closest Uber was 30 minutes away. We started walking on the streets in the middle of the night with all our luggage in the hopes we would find a cab. Eventually, we managed to get an Uber, but by the time we would have arrived to the airport, we would have missed our flight. We were forced to change our travel arrangements as there were no other flights to Nice. We ended up taking a 6 hour train to Marseille and then a cab to Nice in order to make the wedding on time!! We lost all the money we paid for expensive flights and had to rebook expensive train tickets! Since then, we have attempted to contact the hotel for over a month to get in touch with someone who can assist but have just been getting routed to different people. Hopefully someone will respond to me after posting this!

we really liked the location and athmosphere at the hotel.
we stayed at hotel room, les bois desous, the curtains could not complete shut, and therefor the lights from the hallway kept shining into the room. Rainshower just to low for person of 2 meter.

The room is nice no hospitality tray, the room I was in was very noisy due to the extraction fan being on all night.
