I loved the location of the hotel - on the Riva, right in the heart of the old city - and I loved the beautiful rooms and I loved the friendly staff, headed up by the wonderful Anna, the manager, who works along with her staff tirelessly.

The location was good
The problems were addressed to the staff shortly upon arrival, only the television was fixed. The maid did not even vacuum nor change the ill-fitting sheet.
• the sheet did not cover the mattress
• the outlet was coming out of the wall
• the carpet was filthy
• the sewage smell persisted all night
• the toilet paper holder was off the wall
• the towel holder broke
• the sink drained slow
• we had to have an employee fix the television
• the heating/fan/air condioning system wouldn't even turn
on.
This property is a great location, however the property needs to be sold and undergo a massive renovation.

This location is FANTASTIC! It is above a restaurant right on the Riva! Upon check in, we were given bottle of wine (Posip) that we were invited to enjoy out on the Riva at the restaurant tables. The server was so kind and helpful. You can walk everywhere from here, including the Diocletian's Palace and the ferry docks. We were also able to ask for a late check out and were able to leave our bags at the restaurant while we waited for our evening ferry. Oh! and the breakfast was delicious!
It's an old stone building, so expect some mustiness.

The walking street restaurants, market and boat harbour in front of the hotel was really beautiful and fun.
The bed quilts, sheets/pillows were very hardish and not soft. Very uncomfortable. Took me hours to be able to fall asleep. I will bring my bedspread, quilt and my own pillow next time. Otherwise it was very good and a beautiful hotel. ?we will be back?

Location- along riva promenade. We had to leave at 6:30 am next day and staff packed a sandwich for our breakfast.
The room was good size- it had a bedroom and living area. The AC was in the living area only and was not very cold. Had to ask for a fan for the cold air to reach the bedroom area.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel during my trip to Split, Croatia in July. I was assigned room 201 during an extremely hot week. The room was boiling hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work at all. I reported it to reception, and the staff member came up to check. She admitted it needed fixing. My daughter and I couldn’t even stay in the room because of the heat, so we left to find some relief in a nearby restaurant.
Later, I was told the A/C was fixed — but when we returned, the room was still unbearably hot and blowing hot air. There was no phone in the room, so I had to keep going down to reception to complain. Eventually, I was told there were no other rooms available, and that room 201 and 202 shared the same broken A/C unit. The receptionist apologized and advised me to come back the next morning to speak to the manager.
I packed our bags and left to find another place to stay. The receptionist clearly confirmed I would receive a full refund, and the next day the manager also promised this refund through Booking.com.
However, after following up, the hotel blatantly denied making any such promise and only refunded me 50% of the amount. This is not just bad service — it’s dishonest and unacceptable.
I trusted the hotel staff’s word and was lied to. If you value honesty, comfort, and basic hospitality, stay away from this hotel. There are many better and more professional places to stay in Split.

Think Motel 6. Located above same name restaurant that blasted “boom boom” music until late night. Clean. Basic. Old. No in-room coffee/tea. Necessary to unplug bedside lamps to have plug-in for charging. Bed comfortable.
