Everything was perfect. The room was clean, and we were able to move in immediately when we arrived. The apartment is beautiful, and Jack helped us with everything. We could enter the apartment with our own key, so getting in was easy, and breakfast was available for us at any time.

A beautiful authentic house that we had always admired on TV series and wanted to experience in real life. Jack and Audree (and their dog Teddy) are friendly hosts and attentive to their guests' needs, making them feel at home. The neighborhood is quiet and offers a good starting point for trips around the area and to the center of Dublin. We walked and explored the area and sights, but 500 meters below the house is the "main" road, where there are bus stops that lead to the center of Dublin and other directions. In the immediate vicinity is our favorite Kennedy's Pub, which we enjoyed visiting every evening and "socializing" with the locals - unlike in the center of Dublin, where most of the visitors are tourists :-); It was a wonderful and unforgettable trip to Dublin and Ireland... Wonderful attention to detail, a first-class guesthouse with warm, informative, and welcoming hosts. We can highly recommend Avoca House and would return again. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This is truly a gem of a guesthouse, within walking distance of both Drumcondra and the Botanic Gardens, and easily accessible for city centre trips.

Great location in quiet, leafy, Drumcondra. Nice period vibe. Lived the Galway glass chandelier over the breakfast table.
Ted the dachshund is cute.
Comfortable ensuite room

This is the best hotel experience we’ve had in Ireland! House location is not far away from airport. Guest room is lovely decorated with homemade breakfast provided. Landlord Jack is very considerate, introduced the facilities with many details, including the mountain water from tap. Jack really has helped us a lot, opening the heaters, providing trip advice and solving car parking issues. Besides there’s a pet dog Ted, he’s so cute, and run to you happily all the time. We would definitely live here again next time to Ireland.
Nothing.

The house is so unique and authentic. The host was very kind to us and he made sure we felt comfortable and had everything we need. The bed was super comfy. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this place to everyone who wants that authentic and cozy feel.
Since the house is quite old, you can hear pretty well people walking or talking. But that didn’t disturb us too much.

Wonderful
This accommodation was well above average. Also well located for what we wanted to do - we chose it for that reason... but also a sensible Dublin price!
Not worth saying...

Beautiful quaint B&B within walking distance into town. Couple of good pubs with food at end of street. Jack the owner was so friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.

Wonderful
The hosts at this property are very welcoming and were happy to answer our questions and make suggestions for our adventures. The breakfast was incredible and fresh, the dining area is well thought out and set beautifully. The house itself is gorgeous and extremely clean. We were given parking vouchers for the duration of our stay which was unexpected and very welcome.
Not a big deal but the car parking is on the street which is ok if you get a close spot. We actually didn’t use our car once we arrived from the airport because the public transport was good and we walked a lot.

I loved EVERYTHING about this property! Jack, Audree, Teddy (the pup), Maria and Lisa made the stay AMAZING! The house was beautiful, and Jack & Audree (the owners) Teddy and their wonderful staff made you feel at home. The bed was so comfy and the room and shared spaces were immaculately clean! Lisa and Maria were friendly and helpful. The Continental breakfast was all you could ask for and more! I will miss my stay there and hope to return one day! Thank you so much for such an amazing stay at your beautiful home.
