Loved the spacious rooms, nightly entertainment and in a quiet area
A bit further of a walk to some of the main attractions than I would prefer.

The library was nice to relax in. The history was fun. The pub downstairs was amazing! The food was good and music was great! The breakfast was good and the staff there were friendly.
Very noisy stairs and we were out right next to them. We could hear people going up and down at all hours. No sound proofing anywhere in the room, including the windows. You could hear everything outside like it was your living room.
Shower sprayed everywhere and we had to waste towels sipping up the water.

Great location to amenities but not too close that you get all the noise. Hotel was clean and tidy two restaurants and a bar and evening entertainment and friendly staff

Period features in common areas, friendly staff, convenient location , shower
How can a hotel like that have 4 stars? My room was shabby, dust and dirt in many places, eg the hair dryer was filthy. The room level was that of a poor quality b&b one book for convenience and not for leisure. Only basic toiletries provided, again not to the level of a 4 star hotel. Food was rationed, no buffet if you go for a cooked breakfast, and quality very mediocre.

Food was excellent.
Entertainment every night.
24hr reception.
Room 420.
Windows do not close properly causing bad draughts and noise, bathroom and main room.
Seal on shower is leaking onto bathroom floor.
Hotel would benefit from disabled access at entrance to building.
Hotel needs a stair lift for less mobile people to access the downstairs restaurant, stairs are very steep.

Location was good and Vault staff was nice
Very outdated, unfriendly reception staff, tv remote didnt work, having to carry up your own suitcase s up narrow hallways with rugs and steps.
