The location and helpful staff were a selling point from word go.
The only negative point I would add is the parking. On the website we were told to park in the Q park car park. When we tried to use the discounted ticket provided to us by the hotel we realised we had parked in the wrong Q park which we had to pay the full amount of the parking.
Just to make sure to park in the correct parking lot!

Location
Room was a little worn, lot's of outside noise. I was at back of hotel but was awoken by a choir singing across the road from the front at the Mansion house. The lady in room across from me sounded like she was enjoying her stay (she wasn't alone).

Staff are always fantastic here, nothing is a problem.. location is excellent
It can be noisy not so much from the street outside but late night revellers returning to their rooms

Free breakfast fruit and coffee. Nespresso machine in room. Free newspaper. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for many attractions. Non smoking hotel.

Lovely clean bathroom with good gels etc. bed v comfortable- great range of gf scones, muffins etc available at Breakfast- which was fantastic for me being Coeliac
Terrible smell in the hallway on the way to our room on the upper floor- and carpet seemed v grubby- as if lots of spillages on it.

When booking your not told that its a continental breakfast. We stayed in a suite which the mattress was hard and the shower in the cast iron bath was impracticable as the shower curtain keeps wrapping around you so not value for money it might look good but doesnt do the job !!

Lovely and clean.....too many stairs ....not suitable for disabled or elderly
Stairs...lift only works at certain times as assessed through a adjoining bar.
