Driving in the grounds were really well kept - the property did not look like anything we expected. The interior is gorgeous. Quiet sitting, reading, spots. Luxurious feel to the spaces using lighting, fantastic artwork and beautiful books. The views out front were wonderful. Living Area was so comfortable and inviting. Kitchenette had everything needed. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was a delightful getaway in itself.
Only the weather - lol. We enjoyed everything else immensely. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this property for couples.

great location, nice service. We liked to sauna and jacuzzi at the deck.
A very poor selection at the breakfast buffet. surprising, especially given that the rest of the package was of a very nice quality.

Huge apartment.
Not the cleanest apartment during our stay in Iceland. Many flies around. Some kitchen equipment was missing. Not cozy. There was nobody around when checking out.

Check in was easy & quick. I love the apt style to include the shelves of books & all the hanging wall art. The next morning I spoke with a Jordanian gentleman, at breakfast, who gave me his time & warm conversation.
That I only stayed 1 night...haha!

The room was spacious, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. :) the view of the lake was amazing, the location was queit and about 10-15 minutes drive to reach Akureyri. Kitchen with basic things.
Just the only thing - buzzing flies. I know it's almost impossible to avoid them but maybe the window net would help.

Great accommodation in a quiet environment in Hjalteyri. Good view to the mountains and out to sea. Everything indoor in the Hotel is well designed and beautiful. Quality apartment with excellent and well selected all furnishings and equipment. Good quality beds and sheets. Everything was acceptable :)
