A very nice, helpful and friendly host. Location was quiet as I wanted, so a big plus for that. Location is close to the city center but some how not in a crowded area.

Next to the bus terminal you can access all buses easily. 15mins walking distance to old town
It was an open buffet breakfast but they are checking every 3-4 mins that what you are eating. We felt a bit uncomfortable with that. He said in the past someone wanted to take food from the breakfast area and because of that he blamed him/her with stealing food.

Owners were a nice couple. They never got in your way but were always there if you needed help or information. Very kind and helpful. Seemed like the only home amidst a jungle of apartments. Place needs sprucing and seems like they are on it.
Room was very small and cramped(maybe real estate in the city is expensive). Storage could not be accessed. There was no mention of stairs while booking which was a drudgery with a sprained ankle. Breakfast was disappointing. Cereal was absent the second day and seemed like yesterday's leftover's were at the table the next day.

The host was very helpful. The location gave easy walking access into the city.
First impression was property needed a lot of TLC. Facilities clean but a lot of people sharing them. Bedding was my biggest horror it was very grey and looked unclean.

It had the feel of home, was clean, had comfortable and warm beds, and was quiet for sleeping. There was a very good breakfast with homemade bread every morning. The hostess was very nice and helpful. She gave my husband a pair of dry shoes to wear when his boots got wet on a tour. She informed me of an eruption so I could go see it from the high point in Reykjavk. A once in a lifetime experience that I would have otherwise missed.
It was a wonderful location very close to two bus stations where our tours departed from, and 20 minute walk to the church in downtown.
Nothing, it was perfect for us.

Alba is an amaizing person... She gave us advices where to go, helped us with our request pillows, towels, She even gave us umbrellas on a rainy day and breakfast was delicious.
Didn't like is extreme but be aware you might have a small double for 2 people, it was okay, but can feel tight

I stayed in Alba Guesthouse for 4 nights and can recommend it. You will not get a luxury room/house, but you will get a very good price, lovely breakfast with fresh Pancakes and homemade bread, a place close to Downtown and a friendly woman-host. There is a coffee/tea station and a fridge for everyone to use, the place is clean, bed is comfortable and rooms have everything you need for a few days stay.
Only one thing to improve: my window was broken on one side, so didnt fully close , thats why i had to put the curtains into the open space so I wouldnt get the wind into my face at night :) Room was still warm though!

Good price for Reykjavik, not too far from the city or busstation, cozy room and good bed, nice view to Perlan. Breakfast with some variety, constantly being refilled.
