The staff were the best part of the hotel. Rooms were very small ( we were 2 and could barely move). And lighting in room not good.
This hotel was located up a hill. If I had known this I would not have booked. As my husband has balance issues.

Loved the Extra touch of putting a tea & kettle and instant coffee in the room. Two pillow!! Yes!! Easy to walk everywhere around downtown, lots of shopping places, restaurants & pubs. Your also 15 minutes walk to the harbor, very nice Viking Muriel and then another 20 minute walk from there back up to see the beautiful Hallgrimskirkja Church. Breakfast buffet wonderful! And very friendly and helpful staff.
Room was smaller than expected for the price. I can see that what you actually pay for location. I had a room with twin beda that were seperated at each end with a dresser in the middle. I was with my husband so a bit awkward. Bathroom also small space. Beds were also a bit hard but we were there for only one night.

I had a great stay here! I liked that its location was very central and easy to find once I arrived on the bus from the Keflavik airport. The building (and my room) had character which I really appreciated, and it was in very easy walking distance of Rainbow Street, Hallgrimskirkja, Harpa, and lots of restaurants and shops! Breakfast was good and filling, and the staff were very kind. It wasn't super fancy, but it was just what I needed and I'm grateful for my experience here.
It's not the hotel's fault, and I knew this going in, but it might be helpful for others to be aware that this is in a busy central area and there was some nightlife noise later into the evening because of that. It didn't bother me (I'm used to city noises!) although keep in mind I was there on two weeknights, but just something to be aware of! I really liked this hotel so wouldn't have necessarily chosen differently if I had to do it again, but I also think it could've been nice to stay somewhere a few blocks more away from the city center - maybe on a future visit!

Very nice and clean. Staff were so friendly and helpful. GREAT location. Right at the center of the town . Outside is the busy street. Everywhere is basically walkable including the bus stops. Perfect for travelers panning to take tours. I stayed on the inner side of the building so no noise at all. I was a big concerned the noise before my booking. It turns out perfectly. Again I was there on a starting October Saturday night.
Kinda small but okay with the price. It is downtown so if you are planing to drive then better find a parking spot.

They switched the hotel when I arrived the hotel to check-in. They said they over booked rooms and offer us the hotel outside of the city. We had no choice other than accept it.

Property was clean, breakfast was good. The location in Reykjavk was great.
The bar across the street have loud music that kept us awake both nights that we stayed.

Close to main street, harbor, bus stops ease to get around
Bus routes are difficult to follow but needing to get to airport so early
