The superior rooms are really nice and the breakfast is fantastic -- loads of choice. The street seems quite quiet too.
Not the greatest view on the ground floor, but everything else more than makes up for it.

Beautiful, spacious high-ceilinged room (102).
There was not a single English language news channel. Closet space was great with three separate areas, but only 4 hangers.

This is a really well-located three star hotel. Just away from Laugavegur which is lively but noisy at weekends, but walkable to all the best restaurants and bars. The accommodation is simple but scrupulously clean and comfortable. Above all though, the staff here are absolutely fantastic. I speak from experience as I was in Reykjavik when there were storms disrupting flights and causing general mayhem, but the Fosshotel Raudara staff were really helpful and patient with me!
Theres nothing to dislike about this place, unless youre after posh!

Location of the hotel was perfect. It was off the noisy street but close enough to catch our buses for our tours. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally good. It had something for everyone. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great variety for breakfast. Only 10 minutes walk from the edge of the city centre.
Tiny, tiny bathroom. No seperate lounge bar. It's in the reception area.

Charging for Early check in even tho the room was ready . We checked out at 6 am not 10 am and obviously I wouldn't expect a refund so didn't expect to pay for bedroom for checking in 1 hour Early

Good breakfast. Good location near the center.
There was a fridge in our room.
Parking 2000 IKS per night. Poor WiFi in our room (415, 3rd floor last room). Very small room with lot of corners. Only one bed side table. A bit noisy. Two beds easily sliding on the floor, not so cool for a couple. We had an old fashioned room. Our room was not barrier-free, because there were some extra stairs to our room.

Location was within a mile of anything we wanted to walk to.
Room 419! Corner room almost impossible to get a suitcase through the door and hard to fit in the corner shower and the worst hairdryer unit attached to a hose on the wall!

It was in the advertised location.
Small room, mattress very worn and uncomfortable, shower was similar to that found in a camper, extremely limited television choices.

The breakfast was very delicious and a great value and quality for free breakfast buffets. The location was great and quiet neighborhood that felt safe. Free and easy garage parking for cars was great when trying to compete with street parking.
The family suite was very dated and worn. I felt bad interrupting the front desk to stop what they were doing to open the locked parking garage door to let us in and out with our car.

The staff was very helpful and polite. The breakfast was very good and had excellent voice of food.

Our room had a great view of the cathedral in Reykjavik, and was in close walking distance to all the things we wanted to do while we were in town. They also had a great breakfast that had a solid variety.
