Pleasant
The breakfast and the comfort of the rooms were wonderful.
Our room overlooked a very busy street with nightlife that lasted until well after 1:00 am. It was hard to sleep. This is a trade off for the hotel being centrally located.

They upgraded my room, it was very nice.
I asked for a lunch box because i had no time for breakfast and they gave me a crossaint, apple, orange and a banana. I would have liked at least an egg or some other protein.

We had an apartment which gave us a bit more space to sit and relax. The location is perfect! You are a few minutes walk from all the main attractions shops and bars. The breakfast was fresh and filling and set us up perfectly for the day. We ate in the restaurant on one night and the food was delicious!
We reserved a parking place and had no trouble parking although its a very tight space.

Great location in city center with parking spots available upon request. We travelled with a 1.5 year old who had a great baby bed and we had enough space in the appartment to have her run around.
View on a parking lot, but did not bother us.

Staff at reception were very kind and helpful. The hotel's location made it an excellent base for exploring Reykjavik and it was not far from the airport bus stop. Our studio apartment had a kitchenette which was a nice feature. The adjacent restaurant offered tasty meals.
No major complaints. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable but I slept.

Disappointing
Hotel Fron is centrally and conveniently located, minutes away from the rainbow street and the cathedral. It is surrounded by a number of restaurants and shops, and a corner store is just 20 feet away. If you are lucky, there are a few free parking spots in the back. The breakfast buffet is lovely with abundance of fresh food and drinks.
The room wasn't cleaned properly. I found an used wet towel in the bathroom, and the toilet paper was half damp. The spoon had coffee stain on it and so did the glass. The sound proof of the hotel room was subpar - I could hear the loud music from the neighboring businesses (bar/pub).

Loved the staff - very friendly & the hotel includes breakfast which is handy & does dinner - and the restaurant is fantastic! Right next door, you dont even have to go out into the street if you dont feel like it & youve had a long day, so its very good for those who gave big adventure activities planned in the day & just want to come back and relax in the evening. Very clean, spacious room, and has an elevator - so no worries for those with big luggage :) An extra plus - the day of my departure I had to leave very early (5.30am) to catch my flight - and couldnt make the usual breakfast time of 8am, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the the hotel staff had prepared a takeaway brekkie for me to take with me! So sweet and thoughtful :) Love Iceland & this hotel is the perfect stay to enjoy :)

Breakfast is quite modest, but sufficient: cold meats, cheeses, bread, toast, yogurts, cereals, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, gherkin salad, hard-boiled eggs, herrings, ketchup, mayonnaise. However, there are no scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages or other hot dishes. To drink, coffee and several types of tea. Fruit, bananas and oranges also available.
Problems with parking the car. The staff claimed that there were no parking spaces, but from the room window I saw an empty parking space belonging to the hotel. There is no help from the staff in this matter - you have to cope on your own. I had to pay 3,000 ISK for one-day parking. The lack of hot water will last for breakfast. It was very difficult to set the temperature in the electric stove in the apartment. The water in the bathroom next to the sink is very difficult to open.
