The hotel is the definition of a boutique hotel - cosy, stylish and friendly. The reception staff were amazing - so helpful and it felt like a genuinely warm welcome. The room was pretty much a standard size. We were right over the Main Street which parties late but the glazing cuts out most of the noise. The location really couldn't be more central and everything is in easy reach. Highly recommended.
There was nothing in particular about the hotel service itself- it is worth mentioning that it's necessary to walk a (very)short distance to the hotel as it is in a pedestrianised area where taxis cannot drive but this is a small price to pay for such quality and central location.

This hotel was great! The staff greeted us with a glass of champagne, which really set the tone to our trip! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a coffee machine and a water kettle. We didn't need anything. Would definitely stay here again.
Friday and Saturday nights can be a bit loud since there are late night bars on every corner...but as they say: if you can't beat them, join them!

Staff was friendly and helpful. We were surprised upon arrival that we had been upgraded to a suite, so that was very nice! We received a glass of champagne too and that put us in a great mood. The Rainbow Street is around the corner, as well as Dill! All kinds of coffee and breakfast spots everywhere and late night bars too!
We did get one of the bathrobes without a belt loops and a stain on the collar. It was replaced immediately, however. Again, the staff is very accommodating.

We booked a room with a private sauna. It took a little while to work out the instructions, but it was great.
Staying in the centre of "party city" will be noisy, but the easy solution is to join in!

Close to the heart of the capital. Staff were super friendly and made you feel like you were coming home for the night.

Location was great. Bed was a tad soft but the bath robes were a great touch. Staff was exceedingly professional and helpful. Can't expect more.

The hotel was PERFECTLY situated in the old, picturesque part of town. Easy access to great shopping, restaurants, and sights that interest tourists.
There is nothing we didn't like about this hotel. Staff and facilities were excellent.

Location was excellent, we right in the middle of the city and could walk to everything. The room had an amazing shower and very very comfortable bed. Highly recommend this hotel.
Being on a busy street that has a lot of bars, restaurants and clubs got noisy at night but didnt bother us much. If you you wanted to sleep early this might be a problem.

Bed is comfortable, shower was good. Location great. Virginia and Renatis (?) were fantastic.
The fridge could be larger. No ice machine available although the front desk could bring some to the room. Very limited TV stations.

Positive: Staff was lovely. Location for walking was great.
Negatives: Hotel is on a pedestrian street so you cannot pull up to the hotel with luggage for checkin. No individual thermostats in the rooms, the heater was on full blast and when windows are open, the full glory of the nightlife is shared with you. I wanted to like this hotel, but there are too many other options in Reykjavik that would not include these issues.

The location of the hotel was convenient to restaurants, cafes and shopping. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful.
The lighting in the room was a bit dark and the temperature of the room was difficult to control.

Design and layout was excellent. Large bath counter. Was very nice as most hotels do not have that along with separate toilet room.

Close to everything downtown! Small hotel, comfortable rooms, a little loud at times. Worth the stay because the location is very central.

The receptionist was incredible. She was so helpful, she gave us a list of great food places and was not wrong about a single one of them. The room was the best room we have stayed in. Everything was within walking distance and all the places were so close we were able to do so many things every day. The whole hotel was clean and beautiful. And you can not beat the view from our sauna/balcony. The bed was comfortable and faced the ceiling to floor window. Perfect view every morning. The shower was a steam shower and was nice and spacious. My husband and I always shower together, so it's hard to find a shower that we are both comfortable in.
The sign outside could be bigger. It was roughly the size of my hand. Printed on the window facing the sidewalk. But if you research where you are staying beforehand, you can have a better idea of where the hotel is.
