Excellent staff! Alessandro (night time!) helped me organise a taxi very early in the morning and made me a coffee while I waited, as I was leaving before breakfast! The lovely staff were also accommodating in minding my bag after check out which was so helpful! Great location close to train station and short walk to old town.
The hotel is beautiful, but dated. Not an issue for an everyday stay though!

Great location, comfortable room, quiet and clean. The breakfast room was lovely. There was enough variety of food. The woman who made my espressos each morning, was wonderful.
We couldn't get the fridge to cool down sufficiently. The shower is in a deep bath tub and maybe slippery and difficult for some people to use. These are minor issues and were not a problem for us.

The location is perfect - near to the train station and restaurants.
It was a shame the pool wasnt open and no sunloungers out as the weather was perfect.

Pleasant
Location near the railway stop was excellent.
The bed was hard. The fixture to holds up the shower had obviously been broken for some time. Breakfast was awful and the staff in the restaurant were miserable and unhelpful.

The personnel is extremely gentle, helpful and efficient. The position close to the station is strategic. The breakfast is very good. Overall, the structure is very nice.
The Wi-Fi connection was not very efficient.

Poor
The hotel is located at roughly 150 m from the train station and walking distance to the centre of Lecce. This is a great plus because with the parking provided (private paid) you can leave the car and explore the city on foot. The staff are professional and attentive. They resolved issues that we raised in a timely and pleasant manner and were ready to provide advice on where/what/when to do in the city.
The hotel is pitiful. It is very very very dirty. The carpets all throughout the hotel are proper filthy with stains from perhaps when the hotel was first built. The bathrooms needs a good scrub from the bath-tub seals to the sinks. There was an awful smell of sewage coming from the bidet so I blocked the outlet. The breakfast is a disaster waiting to happen. If you're into a sweet breakfast it could work for you but if you're a savory breakfast person avoid it like the plague. The scrambled eggs are cold and congealed - just awful - and there is a small toaster in the corner that is so slowwww that I gave up after waiting for a family to get through their toasts. Don't look around the dining room as you will just notice the holes in the doors and the cracks in the wall. The owners do a great injustice to their staff! They really should fix this place up.

The location, the beauty of the building and decor, staff was great. I was so excited to look at all the beautiful paintings and furniture and even just walk down the massive marble stairs. I loved this place!
I could hear the couple next door quite loudly and had to wear headphones when they were in.

Wonderful
A lovely hotel that lives up to its name as a Grand Hotel. Very close to the station and as soon as you walk through the entrance you realise that this is a classical hotel. Very nice room and bathroom. A good breakfast and a very pleasant ambience, the garden outside the dining room was lovely. I would have liked to have stayed longer.
Not really much to complain about. My room was on a side road with a bit of traffic but it died away in the evening, however not really a big issue for me, I did like the room I had and the daylight that I got from the outwards facing window.

Nestled within the walls of a high-ceilinged old building, my recent stay at this hotel was quite enchanting. The moment I stepped into my room, the towering ceilings caught my eyes. The room itself was very spacious and clean, with comfortable sitting area. And the high ceilings really added to the overall spaciousness and felling of coziness. The bathroom was also very spacious equipped with all the toiletries. I also appreciated the hotel's amenities, including the beautiful dining area. The breakfast options were diverse and tasty, providing a great start to my day. In short, the hotel is a true gem for those who appreciate the glamour of high ceilings, and enjoy the seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary comfort.
The minor issues: the shower water was not hot enough to my like, and Wifi was slow.

Great location- we arrived by train and the hotel is a two-minute walk at the most and is also a short walk to Old Town. The hotel itself is an architecture gem. Also, throughout the hotel it is decorated heavily with gorgeous paintings. Lovely, superb staff, great breakfast buffet in a beautiful restaurant, and the girl working there was fantastic- always smiled and paid attention to every detail serving the guests. Our bedroom & bathroom was huge (we had room #201).
The hotel overall needs a bit of updating regarding some details. The carpet in our room was stained (not just one or two but overall) it looked bad although everything was clean. The paint everywhere in the hotel, in our room and staircase also needs to be refreshed. The balcony door in our room had some rotten parts on the bottom (inside).

Wonderful
The hotel is an older, traditional style hotel. The room was large and comfortable, and very convenient to the train station and to old town Lecce. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was more than adequate.
