Disappointing
The pool is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures, and it is always very clean regardless of what time of the day. Very good location with easy access to the main square.
Rooms are a quite tired. There shouldn't be a hint of hustle culture in a "5-star" hotel. Appalling attitude from some of the staff. Be prepared to be treated differently based on how you dress / skin color. Additionally, a cracked drain cover in the shower almost cut my feet, and it took 4 follow up calls before someone came to inspect the issue.

The hotel, with authentic Morrocan architecture, has all facilities for relaxation in the middle of the stressy Medina, including a superb service, two swimming pools (of which one is heated - the latter making a major difference), three restaurants, sky bar, lounge bar, spa facilities, etc. The location is ideal if you want to visit the old city (the Medina).
Lack of outside light in the rooms - but this is normal for every housing in this region due to excessive sun invasion.

On our check-in we were given an upgraded room with it's own quiet private entrance, private hammam and a huge bathroom. Although it was somewhat unexpected as we hoped to stay in more of a traditional style room, we really enjoyed the stay and the spacious lounge in the room, bathroom and a small garden area outside the room. It was very peaceful and quiet, beds very super comfortable and we slept very well. Our room was cleaned daily to a very high standard, with very thoughtful and lovely touches left by the maid, e.g. the petals on the bed - it was a pleasure to come back to such beautifully prepared room at the end of the day. Breakfast was superb, very fresh with a good choice; service and staff were absolutely amazing, very attentive and friendly. We loved the facilities in the hotel, beautiful Riad-style garden and pool, with clever planting and seating which made the atmosphere very zen and cool. The rooftop pool was also good, but a bit smaller and noisier due to vents etc. The hotel has a good variety of great restaurants, the food is delicious and we would travel and stay there just for that. We also enjoyed multiple bar areas and the spa which had a good variety of treatment options and very good massage therapists.
The safe in the room didn't work and we had call on a number of occasions for someone to come over and fix it. It also some time for hammam to be set. Wifi connection was patchy and not great in our room - but was fine in the rest of the hotel areas. The room looked very modern and recently refurbished, but I would expect a higher stardard for the finish in a 5 star hotel - the edging of some furniture was a bit scruffy with wood looking chipped (which is not what I would expect in a very modern style room). The area behind the sliding door looked rough and unfinished; the door hinges were very squeaky! But other than that we had no complaints and we had a lovely stay.
