We loved this Riad. It was perfectly located in the middle of the Medina. Close to shops, restaurants, souks and markets. It's the perfect way to experience the Moroccan culture first hand.
We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment with a terrace which provided us so much extra space. It was incredible to have 2 AC units and then so nice to have the outdoor private terrace to hang out in. It was on the rooftop so we also had access to so much more space with lovely tables and lounges.
The hosts were super friendly, helpful and provided us with maps and recommendations for the area. We were welcomed with Moroccan tea when we checked in and happy to provide anything we needed after that.
The Riad is definitely not easy to find and Taxis cannot drop you right in front. I would recommend booking a transfer through the Riad Dar Zelda so they can walk you from the taxi drop off directly to the entrance. We were able to figure it out on our own using Google Maps but it'd definitely be easier to have a guide.
Note the apartment with a terrace is on the top floor so there are a lot of stairs. The staff took our bags up and it wasn't a problem at all for us but could be for some travelers.

The breakfast was delicious and the facilities weee beautiful and clean. A very relaxing place to come home to. We absolutely loved our stay and respect the sweetness and hard work of the staff.

The very kind and helpful staff made this charming riad even more beautiful and special. It’s a jewel and quiet retreat from the souks. Very convenient location and the historic decorations and features of the riad are unforgettable!
The WiFi in our room wasn’t the strongest, which made internet research of nearby restaurants, attractions, etc. take a little longer.

We spent a couple of days at the facility and had the most amazing experience. The staff was extremely helpful, pleasant and went an extra mile to look after us. The location is excellent and provides you a real feel of what it feels like to live in an old and historical city like Marakach.

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, a stunning set of rooms on the second floor. The skylights in the main room and bathroom can been seen from the terrace and provide nice light as there are no windows in the walls of those rooms. The beds were super comfortable with high quality linens and pillows. The bathroom is luxurious and well appointed with bath, rain shower head, large sink and fluffy towels. The toilet is found in its own room off of the walk-in closet, which also has an electronic safe -- similar to those found in modern hotels -- for valuables. The decor, especially the ceilings and doors, is amazing. Their form is similar to the ceilings and doors in the Bahia Palace and other historic structures.
We also enjoyed the heated pool in the courtyard under the orange tree and relaxing on the terrace both during breakfast and in the evenings.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. They greeted us upon arrival with mint tea and arranged transportation to the airport including a cart to take our heavy baggage to the taxi.
In summary, we found the accommodation even nicer than the photos in the listing. This is a special riad and really added to the wonderful experience we had visiting Marrakesh. It is superb value and we will seek it out the next time we visit.
Take care when moving between the rooms. The ornate doors between the main room and the bedrooms are short and require simultaneously stepping and stooping for tall people. Also, there is a small step from the main bedroom to the bathroom which can be perilous at night. I recommend either keeping a light on in the bathroom or using a flashlight. Having said that, these are minor nuisances which are more than offset by the beauty of the decor and the friendliness of the staff.

I had a fantastic experience at Riad Dar Zelda. The location is perfect—tucked away in the heart of the Medina, making it easy to explore Marrakech while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available with great recommendations and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was also a highlight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully served each morning. I’d absolutely recommend this riad to anyone visiting Marrakech!

Ideal location in centre of medina. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful - giving advice and helping to arrange transport/directions etc, even letting us borrow a phone charger! Breakfast was gorgeous on the rooftop as was the meal we had in the Riad on our first night. Will hopefully return soon

The entire staff are AMAZING. We were welcomed with mint tea and biscuits, and then went on to have the best dinner we had in Marrakech. Breakfast was always wonderful and plentiful. The staff went above and beyond for us. They arranged our transfers to and from the riad, and made a special dinner for my son. The room was very large and comfortable for our family. The sunsets on the roof were beautiful, especially while listening to the call to prayer from the neighboring mosques. We had an absolutely wonderful time at Dar Zelda!

The location was perfect for accessing the sights on foot yet it was a complete contrast to the hustle and noise of the Medina just a stones throw away. It felt safe and comfortable and was a wonderful environment to return to after exploring the city. We would highly recommend.

Fantastic preserved old building in the centre of Marrakech, large comfortable rooms while maintaining the old features and charm. But the best thing about our stay was the staff who couldn’t have been more helpful or hospitable
