The intimate Hotel Van Den Hogen has 4 Double Rooms, most with a beautiful view of the IJsselmeer. Enjoy nature walks, relaxing boat trips, or explore the area by bicycle. The rooms all have color TV, shower and toilet. Bicycles can be rented nearby the hotel. Every 15 minutes there is a bus that takes you to Amsterdam Central Station in 30 minutes. The hotel’s restaurant is located nearby the fish market on the Volendammer harbor with a magnificent view over the sea. Here you can watch fishing boats leaving and arriving all through the day, and follow the activities on the market. This à la carte restaurant has existed for more than 100 years and is famous for its excellent fish dishes. the rooms are accessible only via stairs, there is no elevator. Free parking is possible in the Slobbeland recreation area, Paid parking at the Volendam center parking garage.

Wonderful staff, amazing breakfast, comfortable rooms with free parking nearby. Volendam at night and early morning is a magical place without all of the crowds.

The staff were exceptonally helpful and friendly. They gave us great advice on what places to visit and the best way to get there. Also, the traditional Dutch breakfast was great. Having a hotel so close to the harbour was very unique.

Location was amazing right on the harbour front. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was wonderful. Beds were very comfy and shower perfect. One reviewer had said that it was noisy and there was a bar around the corner that we could hear a bit of music from with the windows open but it didn't disrupt our sleep and it was closed by 12. Very peaceful stay. Really loved our stay.
