De Keizerskroon is located in the heart of the historic center of Hoorn. Set in an old town mansion, it featuresy rooms with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. The rooms have got their own style, with basic furnishings and feature flat-screen TVs. There is also a suite with a private spa bath and seating area. The, by the city of Hoorn, recently acquired museum ship ‘De Halve Maen’ is only 5 minutes away. This ship made its fame by exploring up the river Hudson during the Dutch golden age and it is an absolute must-see. The restaurant downstairs is not part of the hotel. Of course, a buffet breakfast is served every morning in the restaurant and can be included in your reservation. For any and all inquiries about the restaurant, we refer you to restaurant Gewoon Lekker Hoorn. From De Keizerskroon, guests can easily stroll into the old city center with its shops and sights. The lakeside theater Het Park Schouwburg is 591 feet away.

This is a fun and quirky property, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The room was comfortable and I slept great. The owners were accommodating. The breakfast is fantastic, and well worth the extra cost. The location is excellent for exploring the beautiful city of Hoorn. There are a lot of stairs, some of which are very steep. If you have mobility limitations, please inform them when making your reservation.
There was nothing I did not like.

The city location. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast that we paid for additionally.
We were up half the night because the window had been left open and we were dive-bombed by mosquitoes!! I also was wondering what I paid an upgrade for as the room was very small and all rooms appeared to have a bathroom.

It is a cozy establishment with a friendly staff and a great location for shopping and dining. Everything about it was warm and inviting and as a midwestern American it had an enchanting storybook vibe. This was my first European trip and it was an absolutely wonderful Dutch experience. I do plan on returning, and I do plan on staying at the Hotel de Keizerskroon again.

Great staff, concierge service was excellent. Fantastic location, right in downtown Hoorn. Nice full breakfast if you want to pay extra for it.
My unit (26) was on the top floor. Had to lug 2 suitcases up and down narrow stairs. Could not stand in shower because of roof angle. Very small room-difficult for 2 people to fit. Pillows were uncomfortable.

The property and the hosts are lovely and very accommodating. Elizabeth is so personable and I had the opportunity to have a nice conversation. Ask her to play the piano for you. She is very talented! The location is in a great part of Hoorn, easy to walk to the train station and anywhere else.

Excellent attention to detail to make your stay comfortable. Your hosts are amazing. Elizabeth entertains at the piano with her great voice and is a wonderful conversationalist. You feel like family here. Our room had a large comfortable bed but little space around it, but the beautiful bathroom was enormous. Excellent bathroom amenities. Breakfast is personalized and delicious.

room was clean and functianal. We had informed the hotel that a guest had walking difficulty so we needed a room near the lift. The day before traveling the hotel called to say the lift had broken down and could not be fixed before our visit so gave us the option to cancel. It was a buisy day with little chance to change so we kept booking. By the time we arrived they had fixed the lift. 5* SERVICE FOR TAKING THE TROUBLE TO CONTACT US WHILE WE WERE STILL IN ENGLAND

Hotel was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and a great location. Very quiet at night time to get a good nights sleep. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I had a very good welcome... a call when walking from the station to ensure that I could find the hotel. The facilities were exceptional and the hospitality top class. Breakfast was busy with super food. I am grateful for the time getting my bearings as enjoyed my stay.

small and friendly- not corporate. offer that could always phone hotel number if in need of advice / assistance suitability for my needs at reasonable price not far from station, yet on way to centre and the coast flexibility of breakfast times and fast service.
I found the fact that the whole bathroom floor effectively being the base of the shower a bit unusual and meant that whole area wet after shower use. I can see the reason is for effective use of compact space, not a major problem but because effectively level, nowhere convenient to put shower towel to stand on afterwards, except outside the room or else it gets very soggy.

Lovely family run hotel ..every detail given attention in the room.absolutely anything I needed was there ! Plus fantastic breakfast ! Easy connection to public transport and situation in the center of the lovely town of Hoorn.
Everything was PERFECT ! Nothing to dislike !
