Views are absolutely stunning and the property is gorgeous, really cool design and the bedrooms all have amazing views. Cosy living space with the fireplace too.
A number of the kitchen appliances were not working including the oven. We had a bad experience on our second night as there was heavy rain and the ceiling leaked, plus a bad odour came into the room with the heavy rain, possibly a blocked drain. The outside areas are in need of a little TLC, some rotting wood, it's all a bit run down.

The view from the house is amazing. the staff were also very helpful and friendly. The beds were clean and comfortable.
This house is very run down and particularly cold. I would guess that many aspects of the property eg deck, would not pass safety regulations. The layout of the house is bizarre and not suitable for children or elderly.

The view was awesome.
Little difficult to access. A lot of cobwebs, had interesting lighting. An aircon would have been nice as of a night door's and windows wouldn't be open.

Amazing location. Huge home with plenty of space for everyone. Fantastic deck.
There is a restaurant on site that we assumed would be open but it was closed. The Outdoor BBQ was unusable and we could not get the oven to work.

Beautiful views; hosts were friendly & responsive
Felt a bit old & outdated. Mattresses were old & uncomfortable. Lots of cobwebs. Was a bit cold & drafty. Some rooms smelled musty/moldy.

Amazing views for sure
The worst untidy entry/yard I've ever had to drive people through to get to their accommodation ,A really good tidy up would improve the place as well as getting rid of dead machines/ cars etc

There was so much space for our 4 children and 3 adults. Lots of outdoor space too, unfortunately the weather wasn't pleasant so we couldn't enjoy this. Great size rooms. Kitchen good size. The gas fire worked well with heating the sitting room.
There was no hot water in the kitchen, and only 1 person had a hot shower in the morning, and it was quick. After that, no hot water for any other showers. Could do with some mould remover in the showers.

Poor
Only view.
It was too cold and no Wi-Fi. The fridge was out of order so made the Beep Beep sound all night. Range hood weren't woking. Most of windows were not opened. Some curtains were broken. Bathrooms were also so uncomfortable. Located at the top of the mountain, there are no nearby restaurants or convenience stores, making it inconvenient. My family was so disappointed that we stopped 1 out of 2 nights and checked out.

The views are amazing. You're up and out of the city a little bit which makes for nice and quiet accommodation - which is what we wanted.
I still can't decide how I feel about this place.
We paid $700 a night. The views are worth a million dollars, but for that amount I'm not sure the actual accommodation is worth it.
On the plus side, the beds were old but comfortable.
The house itself is run down and seems like it has been "fixed" cheaply. The outside decking area did not feel structurely secure and I was nervous with our children jumping around. The wind blew a door shut and a heavy kitchen wall panel fell down, luckily no one was near by. We could not use the upstairs bathroom/ensuite because it caused a roof leak downstairs and completely flooded the ensuite of another bedroom. We reported these issues and received an apology but still had to pay the full price.
There was a sign in the kitchen warning of a $100 fee if you don't clean up after yourself ... yet we had to wash every dish before we used them because they were not clean (example, dry egg stuck to bowls).
I think the potential of the place is huge, and we understand Covid times have been very tough for our tourism industry in NZ. But if you're charging $700 a night, make sure you're upkeeping your facilities so that they are functional, clean and safe.

breathtaking view offered by the site made other thing unimportant
other than a few minor issues, i.e. range hood, down lights on top of the kitchen sink, 2 of the 6 burner gas cooktop not working, all others are satisfactory
