The downstairs area was beautifully decorated, comfortable and nice and cool even on a very hot day. The garden is a delight and a perfect place to have breakfast and relax . Loved the complementary coffee, cakes and port in the evenings. Nicely appointed bedroom with comfortable bed. Great location in Lisboa.

Excellent location, really close to the tram routes, restaurants, shops and museums. Staff were very friendly and keen to help with planning our day or suggesting restaurants etc. The quality of everything within the hotel was superb and the breakfast was perfect.
Nothing needed improving, we have found it very difficult to find fault with the hotel.

I stayed at Casa de Barao for one night by myself and absolutely loved it - I wish I could have extended my stay. It was incredibly charming, in a convenient area, and the staff was so helpful and accommodating! If I ever come back to Lisbon I would love to stay again!

Its was an oasis in the heart of the city. Quite, comfortable and friendly. Staff was amazing and helpful. Cant say enough about it and oh the food.

The location was great , walkable everywhere , very clean specious room and public areas , comfortable beds ,beautiful design of the hotel and garden , unique furniture and decorations , the owners are always there ,friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was excellent! Sitting on an open air terrace in mid-October surrounded by exotic plants and bird sounds was a treat. The lift was extremely quiet and very efficient. Our room (34) on the third floor had a large balcony with a great view of the Tagus on the right and the trees and pool below.
The pool was so tempting but access for any but the most fit was a little difficult since the steps into the pool could only be accessed by a narrow wooden walkway. The floor boards in the rooms creaked a lot. This was not a problem in such a quiet hotel, just a pity.

Joanne and Louis were awesome. The rest of the staff were fantastic! I highly recommend this hotel.
The breakfast starts at 8:30. It could have been a little earlier, but it's not a big deal.
More accurate directions on where and how to get a trolley ticket.

very quiet, clean, good location.
our room was at the third floor without the elevator.
The staff help us get our luggage to the room, but it was complicated to use all the facilities and the pool.
